Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallThe best screen recorder depends on how you coach: Loom is a strong starting point for quick client feedback and walkthroughs; OBS Studio suits coaches who want configurable recording without a software license fee and are comfortable handling files themselves; Tella is a good fit for polished screen-and-camera lessons that need layout changes and trimming. For live group coaching, consider a webinar tool such as StreamYard instead. These are workflow-based recommendations, not a claim that one app is objectively best for every coach.
Choose by coaching workflow, not feature count
Start with what the recording needs to do after you stop recording. A fast explanation sent to one client has different needs from a polished lesson you will reuse in a course. A live group session needs participant and streaming controls that an asynchronous feedback video does not.
| Coaching task | What matters most | Good starting point |
|---|---|---|
| Answer a client question or review work asynchronously | Quick capture, a shareable link, and a way for the viewer to respond | Loom |
| Record a reusable lesson or course module | Screen-and-camera composition, post-recording layout changes, trimming, and distribution | Tella |
| Build a custom recording setup while avoiding a software license fee | Configurable scenes and audio controls, with willingness to edit, host, and share separately | OBS Studio |
| Run a live group coaching event or webinar | Guest participation, live production, streaming, and event recording | StreamYard or another live-production tool |
A separate webcam is optional. Loom and Tella support camera recording, but a built-in camera may be adequate; choose an external webcam only if you want a different camera position or image while presenting.
How the main screen recorders compare
| Tool | Capture and workflow | Sharing and editing | Limits or cost established by the cited pages | Best fit |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Loom | Captures screen, camera, and audio. Product materials describe recording from its app and sharing the result through a link. | Loom describes link sharing, comments, reactions, and viewer insights. Its product page says, “As soon as you finish recording, Loom generates a link that’s instantly ready for you to copy and paste wherever you want to share your video.” This is Loom’s product statement. | Its pricing page lists Starter as free, with 25 videos per person and five-minute screen recordings. Business tiers list unlimited video count and recording length. Check current plan details and entitlements before choosing. | Short feedback videos, client walkthroughs, and team communication where a fast link matters. |
| OBS Studio | The OBS Project describes free, open-source software for video recording and live streaming. It can compose scenes from sources such as windows, images, text, browser windows, webcams, and capture cards; its audio mixer includes filters such as noise suppression and gain. | The official site describes capture and production controls, not a hosted client-sharing workflow. Plan for a separate process to edit, host, and distribute recordings. | Free and open source. A paid hosting or editing service is not included in that software-license description. | Coaches who value control and no software license fee over a streamlined record-and-send workflow. |
| Tella | Its materials describe screen and webcam capture on separate tracks, with the ability to change layouts after recording. | Offers trimming, exports, embeds, and share links according to its product materials. Its course-creator page identifies online courses and community onboarding videos as use cases. | Pricing and plan-specific capabilities are not stated in the cited materials here; verify current terms with Tella. | Reusable teaching content or explainers that benefit from a composed screen-and-camera presentation. |

- 12-Month Warranty: Backed by a 12-month manufacturer warranty for peace of mind. Designed to meet strict quality control standards for reliable everyday performance.
When Loom is the practical choice
For a coach who regularly needs to explain a spreadsheet, annotate a presentation verbally, or respond to a client’s submitted work, Loom’s central advantage is the short path from recording to sharing. Its product page describes screen, camera, and audio capture along with comments, reactions, and viewer insights. That combination can keep an asynchronous exchange in one video thread rather than requiring you to export a file and arrange separate delivery.
Know the Starter cap before building a routine around it
Loom’s pricing page lists the Starter plan at 25 videos per person and five minutes per screen recording. A coach who records occasional concise answers may find that sufficient; frequent feedback or longer walkthroughs can run into those limits. Loom lists unlimited video count and recording length on Business tiers. Because plans and feature availability may change or vary by account, confirm the current pricing page before relying on a specific entitlement.

Loom lists higher-tier offerings including Business + AI and Enterprise; its plan materials describe added editing, AI workflows, and enterprise controls at higher tiers. Do not assume a particular capability is included in every paid plan: check the current plan comparison and your account’s options.
When OBS Studio is worth the extra workflow
OBS Studio makes sense when you want to arrange a recording from multiple sources or tune audio and video production yourself, and you accept a more hands-on process. The OBS Project describes scenes that can combine windows, text, images, browser windows, webcams, and capture cards, plus audio filters such as gain and noise suppression. This flexibility can help if your coaching demonstration uses several applications or a carefully arranged presentation.

The trade-off is distribution. OBS’s official site presents recording and live-streaming software, not a hosted client library or one-click client-link workflow. Before adopting it, decide where recordings will live, how clients will access them, how you will trim mistakes, and how you will revoke or update access if needed. Its software is free and open source; that does not establish that storage, editing, or delivery services you choose alongside it will also be free.
When Tella is better for reusable lessons
Tella is worth considering when a recording should feel like a prepared lesson rather than a quick reply. Its custom-layout materials describe recording the screen and webcam separately, changing the layout after capture, and trimming. That lets you adjust how your face and demonstration appear without having to settle every composition choice before you record.

Tella’s course-creator page names online courses, promotional videos, and community onboarding as uses. It also describes share links and embedding. These options can suit a lesson you intend to reuse across a course or community, but check the current plan and export or sharing terms before designing a publishing workflow around them.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Use a live-production tool for live group coaching
Live group coaching is a different job from sending a client an asynchronous screen recording. StreamYard’s plan page lists live-production features such as on-screen participants, recording, multistreaming, and webinar capacity on certain plans. Those capabilities make it an adjacent option for sessions with guests or streaming destinations; they do not, by themselves, make it the strongest choice for private one-to-one feedback videos. Capacity and plan availability depend on the selected plan, so check the current StreamYard plans and pricing page for details.

A practical selection checklist
- For a quick client reply: prioritize a low-friction capture and share process, and check whether the free-plan recording cap fits your volume. Loom’s current Starter listing is 25 videos per person and five-minute screen recordings.
- For repeatable course content: prioritize layout control, trimming, exports or embeds, and a stable way to organize access. Tella documents those production and distribution options.
- For control on a tight software budget: OBS is free and open source, but include the time and any separate costs involved in editing, hosting, and sharing.
- For a live cohort or webinar: evaluate guest capacity, streaming destinations, and event recording in the plan you would actually use. Do not treat live-streaming features as proof of an asynchronous feedback workflow.
- For client privacy or regulated coaching: investigate each vendor’s data processing, retention, access, consent, and jurisdiction-specific terms directly. The cited product pages do not establish compliance or guarantee client privacy.
- For camera quality: make a short test with your built-in camera and microphone first. An external webcam is an optional setup upgrade, not a requirement imposed by these tools.
Keep an evergreen lesson live on YouTube instead of recording client feedback
Screen recorders above are for capturing coaching content. If a separate need is to keep an uploaded lesson or playlist running as a 24/7 YouTube stream, StreamNeo is a different kind of service: it does not capture a live camera or replace a screen recorder. You upload a recording or build a playlist, add your YouTube stream key once, and go live; StreamNeo loops the uploaded video from the cloud, so your computer and home connection do not have to stay on.
Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. Videos stream as uploaded, up to 4K 60fps, with one flat price per slot and no re-encode or quality tiers. The first day is free with no card, one free day per account. Billing options are daily, weekly, monthly, six months, or yearly; cancel any time. UPI and cards are available in India, card checkout worldwide, and five or more slots can be discussed with support. Learn more at StreamNeo.
For a coach who actually needs an evergreen YouTube stream, the monthly option is $9.99 per month. To try it, start StreamNeo’s free first day.
