For most creators, YouTube Studio is the simplest way to upload multiple videos to YouTube: select up to 15 files at a time, then review each video’s details and choose whether to publish it, schedule it, or keep it private. Vimeo and SproutVideo offer other batch workflows for hosted video libraries, while Vimeo OTT is built for paid subscription and rental catalogs. The right fit depends on where you want the videos to live and what should happen after upload.

Upload multiple videos to YouTube Studio
YouTube’s desktop instructions allow selection of up to 15 videos at a time. This is a multi-file upload, not a bulk-publishing shortcut: details still need review for each video, and visibility is a separate choice.
- Open YouTube Studio and select Create, then Upload videos.
- Select up to 15 video files from your computer in the file picker.
- For each upload, review and edit its video details, including the information and settings relevant to that video.
- Choose the visibility setting for each video. You can publish, schedule publication, or leave a video private.
- Wait for upload and processing to complete as needed. YouTube notes that HD and 4K processing can take longer depending on quality, length, format, and traffic.
If you close the upload window before choosing visibility, YouTube says the video is saved as private. YouTube also applies a daily upload limit across desktop, mobile, and API; the cited help page does not state the limit amount. When YouTube’s partner bulk-upload workflow applies
YouTube separates ordinary uploads from delivery through Content Manager. Eligible partners can use Package Uploader to deliver multiple video and sound-recording assets with a spreadsheet that includes a metadata row for each asset, and can pre-validate the spreadsheet. This is a Content Manager workflow for rights holders and distributors, not a setting that every channel owner can turn on.
YouTube describes SFTP or Aspera for partners regularly delivering more than 100 assets a month; its guide says Aspera is faster and preferable for large media files. Music labels delivering Art Tracks may use an Art Track spreadsheet or DDEX. The appropriate route depends on partner access and the type of assets being delivered. Use Vimeo for a hosted library or mobile batch workflow
Vimeo’s mobile apps for Android and iOS support selecting multiple videos, assigning them to a new or existing folder, and setting privacy options for the batch. Vimeo says this feature is included with all plans. The mobile library also offers bulk actions such as moving, deleting, and renaming videos. Account storage still applies. For other workflows, Vimeo lists uploads through its website, mobile apps, software integrations, and supported cloud services including Dropbox, Google Drive, and Box. Its preparation guidance recommends common formats such as MP4 and MOV, advises keeping individual files under 200 GB for successful uploads, and says videos longer than 24 hours are not supported. The under-200-GB advice is per file, not a batch-size limit. Refer to Vimeo’s file-preparation guidance.

Vimeo also describes a YouTube integration for sharing Vimeo content to YouTube, but its integration page describes single-click sharing and does not establish that a Vimeo batch upload automatically batch-publishes to YouTube. Choose Vimeo OTT for subscriptions or rentals
Vimeo OTT is aimed at publishers building a paid video catalog, rather than creators who simply want to upload several public YouTube videos. Its upload guide allows a drag-and-drop computer batch up to 250 GB, or a Dropbox batch up to 50 GB. Upload and transcoding progress can be tracked; Vimeo OTT emails when processing is complete.

After processing, place a video in a Subscription Collection or a Purchase/Rental Product. Uploaded OTT videos are private until they are put into one of those offerings. OTT transcodes assets into adaptive streaming files and multiple download resolutions. Its pricing depends on uploaded video hours, so consult Vimeo OTT’s current plan details rather than relying on an old quoted rate. For large libraries, the upload guide describes supported imports such as Amazon S3, Cyberduck, or Transmit; it says physical media is not accepted and recommends contacting an account manager or sales about bulk uploading. SproutVideo’s Multi-File Uploader queues selected videos and uploads them one at a time. That sequential approach can make an early file playable before the whole batch is finished. Its help article does not state a numeric queue limit, so check the current uploader if a specific batch size is essential. How to pick the right batch-upload workflow
- Publishing straight to YouTube: Start with YouTube Studio; its multi-select is intended for regular creators and accepts up to 15 files at a time.
- Managing a mobile library: Vimeo’s mobile batch tools include folder assignment and batch privacy settings, subject to account storage.
- Selling access to a catalog: Vimeo OTT supports batch intake and organizes processed videos into subscription or purchase/rental products.
- Delivering rights-managed assets at scale: Check whether you have YouTube Content Manager partner access before planning around Package Uploader, SFTP, or Aspera.
- Wanting queued uploads rather than a single multi-file transfer: SproutVideo documents a sequential queue, but does not publish a numeric queue limit in the cited help article.
