No controlled benchmark establishes a specific frame-rate gain from any setting. Use the checks below as experiments, and change only options that actually appear in your version of the game.
Start with your platform and PC hardware
The settings to try differ between Windows PC and console. The published PC requirements are a baseline for compatibility, not a promise of smooth play or a target frame rate.

The listings do not establish an FPS target, and meeting these requirements does not guarantee that play will feel smooth. If your PC falls below the listed specifications, settings experiments may help, but they cannot establish that the hardware will deliver a particular result.
Windows PC: check which GPU runs the game
This check is relevant to a PC with more than one graphics processor, such as a laptop with integrated and dedicated graphics. Microsoft documents the Windows 11 setting below; it is a targeted check, not a guaranteed Minecraft Dungeons fix.

- Open Settings > System > Display > Graphics.
- Find Minecraft Dungeons in the app list. If it is not listed, use the option to add a desktop app and select the game’s executable.
- Open the app’s options, choose High performance, and save.
- Restart the game so the change can take effect.
Microsoft’s instructions are for Windows 11. They do not establish that every PC has this choice or that selecting it will improve performance in this game. See Microsoft’s graphics performance preference instructions.
Windows PC: test available visual options one at a time
A Microsoft Q&A reply from an Independent Advisor—not official Mojang or Microsoft game guidance—suggests trying these changes if the corresponding options are present in your in-game menu:

- Turn off V-sync. Compare smoothness and watch for screen tearing; disabling it may make tearing more noticeable.
- Lower or turn off anti-aliasing quality.
- Lower or turn off shadow quality.
- Turn off bloom.

Xbox, PlayStation, and Switch: use the controls actually shown
The available sources do not confirm a particular graphics menu or performance preset for Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch. Open the options in your own version and adjust only controls that are present; PC advice about named graphics settings should not be assumed to apply to a console. Check for available game and platform updates if performance changes unexpectedly, but no source here establishes a specific update or console setting as a fix.

Compare changes without guessing
- Choose a repeatable level or situation where you notice choppiness.
- Note the current setting and how smooth the game feels, as well as any image-quality trade-off.
- Change one option only, then replay the same situation under similar conditions.
- Keep the change if it helps without an unacceptable visual trade-off; otherwise, revert it before testing another option.
This comparison method is practical troubleshooting, not a Minecraft Dungeons benchmark. The sources do not establish fixed gains or expected frame rates for any platform.
