For story progression, build around a practical Burn-and-AP loop with Thermal Transfer, Wildfire and Hell, adding Healing Light or Rebirth when the party needs support. In the late game, generate Stains deliberately, then choose a single-target or area-damage spender only when its Stain pattern and AP cost are covered.
How Lune’s skills and Stains work
Lune’s skill choices make more sense as a sequence than as a list. Many elemental skills generate a matching temporary Stain; other skills consume Stains to strengthen an attack or add an effect. Before choosing a payoff skill, check what Stains it needs, how you will generate them, and whether you can afford the AP to cast it.

Combat also asks you to execute timed inputs for attacks, skills and other actions. Xbox Wire’s beginner guide notes that some high-reward skills can backfire when mistimed, so a rotation that is powerful on paper may not be the right one if you cannot execute it reliably. Level-ups award both attribute and skill-tree points, giving you opportunities to adjust as the party and encounters change. Xbox Wire’s starter tips explain that broader combat context.
Which Lune skills should you prioritize during the story?
For an Act 1–2 progression route, Millenium recommends working toward a fire-focused Burn-and-AP loop. Treat it as a useful guide path, not an official ranking or a required build: available skills, party needs and enemy matchups can change what works best for you.

- Prioritize Thermal Transfer. It can generate AP when used against a burning target, so it supports the rotation when its Burn condition is met.
- Add Wildfire. Use it to spread Burn across enemies, creating potential Thermal Transfer targets and setting up later fire damage.
- Unlock Hell as a payoff. Once your AP and setup allow it, use Hell for heavy fire damage and a Burn payoff rather than trying to cast it before you can fund it.
- Consider Chaos for Break. Millenium includes it as an option in the progression path; use it when Break utility is valuable to the fight.
- Keep Healing Light or Rebirth if the party needs help staying up. A support skill can contribute more than another damage option in a difficult or extended encounter.
The intended rhythm is to alternate fire skills with Thermal Transfer: build Burn, use Thermal Transfer when the target is burning to help restore AP, and spend that AP on Hell when the opportunity is there. Thermal Transfer is conditional, not an automatic action every turn.
Millenium pairs this progression approach with Lumerim, which its guide says is obtainable in the first region and reduces the AP cost of fire skills. Weapon availability and effects can be affected by game updates, so check Lumerim’s current in-game description rather than relying on an old acquisition or effect detail. See Millenium’s Lune builds for story progression and endgame.

Which skills fit a late-game damage build?
Late-game setups have more demanding prerequisites. They assume that you have the relevant skills, weapon and resources, and can build the required Stains before spending them. Two guide approaches illustrate the central decision: focus your payoff on a priority target, or prepare an area attack for a group.
Single target: build Stains, then use a suitable spender
Gamer Headlines recommends Trebuchim and Free Aim as ways to generate Stains. When you have four Stains, use Mayhem if the pattern is not suitable for Elemental Genesis; use Elemental Genesis when its Stain pattern and AP requirements are met. This makes Mayhem a conditional alternative, not a skill to cast blindly whenever four Stains are present.

- Complex Puzzles: Test your problem-solving skills with challenging puzzles.
- Immersive World: Explore a visually stunning alien planet with breathtaking details and treacherous terrain.
For a different endgame setup, Millenium’s Kralim build uses the weapon to generate pigments and establish four different Stains, then spends them on Lightning Dance for single-target damage or Elemental Genesis for area damage. Its six equipped skills are Wildfire, Overwhelming Wave, Elemental Cycle, Lightning Dance, Elemental Genesis and Chaos; Seismic Fury is offered as an alternative to Chaos. That loadout is an endgame option, not a starter bar.
Groups: use area damage when the setup supports it
Wildfire can help establish Burn across multiple enemies in a story build. In a late-game setup, Elemental Genesis is the area-damage payoff when the Stain pattern and AP are right. If either condition is missing, continue building resources or choose a payoff your current pattern supports instead of forcing the cast.

Gamer Headlines says its character-build advice was checked against patch v1.5.6 on August 31, 2026. Its recommendations and Millenium’s builds are guide advice, not a controlled comparison proving one loadout deals more damage in every encounter. Read Gamer Headlines’ character builds alongside the in-game skill and weapon descriptions.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. When should you trade damage skills for recovery?
If a long boss phase or missed timed inputs keep your damage setup from stabilizing, a recovery-focused bar may be more useful than an extra spender. Gamer Headlines recommends considering Snowim, Rebirth and Revitalization for safer play. Use remaining slots for options such as Typhoon, Wild Fire, Terraquake or Elemental Genesis according to the encounter and the resources you can reliably build.

Healing Light is another support option described in an older Pro Game Guides overview as healing and removing status effects. Because that guide dates to April 2025, check the current in-game description for exact effects rather than relying on its older numerical claims. The practical choice is to carry support when your party needs recovery, revival or status help; a damage-only loadout is not automatically the best one.
See Pro Game Guides’ overview of Lune’s skills for its older skill descriptions.
How to choose between Lune builds
Use these checks when deciding what to equip or unlock next:
- Progression and prerequisites: Does your current story progress give you the weapon, skill and passives the rotation assumes?
- Setup reliability: How many actions do you need to establish the required Burn or Stain pattern before the payoff?
- AP supply: Can you afford the spender, and are the conditions for Thermal Transfer actually in place?
- Target coverage: Does the fight call for a priority-target option such as Mayhem or Lightning Dance, or area coverage such as Wildfire or Elemental Genesis?
- Safety: Would healing, revival or status support help the party more than another damage skill?
- Matchup and execution: Account for enemy resistances and choose a rotation whose timed inputs you can perform consistently.
The available guides offer several useful routes, but do not establish an exhaustive, official or versioned “best six” for every player. E33 Hub labels its September 2026 build resource fan-made and unaffiliated with Sandfall Interactive; treat it, like other guide advice, as a reference rather than an official skill database. E33 Hub’s build guides carry that fan-made designation.
