ONE Esports published this ranged build for Season 2 Reloaded on March 7, 2024. It pairs a suppressor and long barrel with high-grain ammunition, a larger magazine, and a 2.5x optic.

ONE Esports’ Season 2 Reloaded loadout also suggests Stun Grenade, Frag Grenade, Munitions Box, Infantry Vest, Marksman Gloves, Stalker Boots, and Threat Identification System. Treat the attachments and equipment as that guide’s dated recommendation, not as a fresh optimization against later balance changes.
What to change for smaller maps
Use a lower-magnification optic
ONE Esports names the Slate Reflector as an alternative to the Corio Eagleseye 2.5x for smaller maps. This is an optic swap within the sourced build; it does not establish a separately tested close-range setup. If you regularly fight at short distances, compare sight picture and target acquisition in your own matches before changing other attachments.

Another dated MW3 multiplayer setup
CODMunity lists a separate “Versatile Loadout (MW3),” last updated August 23, 2024. It uses a different combination of attachments:

What the SOA Subverter is—and what the launch numbers mean
Activision described the SOA Subverter as a 7.62 battle rifle intended for mid-to-long-range combat, with predictable recoil, when it arrived in Season 2 Reloaded. The same launch announcement characterized its effective damage range as up to 25 meters and called it the highest-rate-of-fire weapon in its class. Those are launch-era descriptions and figures, not confirmation of post-balance performance in October 2026.

That is Activision’s unattributed description in its Season 2 Reloaded announcement. The announcement also says the weapon was unlocked through a Weekly Challenge. Its note that the weapon takes three to four shots before Armor Plates is in a Warzone-focused context; it should not be treated as an MW3 multiplayer damage rule.

There is no established current MW3 multiplayer rank, win-rate, pick-rate, or independently tested performance figure here to settle which build is “best.” Choose based on your map, the distances at which you take fights, and the balance you want between recoil control, handling, magazine capacity, and optic magnification.

- Unlock Custom Loadouts: Activision says the ability to edit one unlocks at Rank 4 (Private IV).
- Open the SOA Subverter in Gunsmith: Check whether the listed attachments are available to your account; MWIII attachment access can depend on progression, and attachment categories can be weapon-platform-specific or universal.
- Compare the actual trade-offs: Read each attachment description and inspect the Gunsmith stats for damage, fire rate, range, accuracy, recoil control, mobility, and handling. Activision cautions that stat charts are a general guide and recommends judging how the weapon actually shoots.
- Try the optic that fits the map: Compare the 2.5x optic with the Slate Reflector where that lower magnification suits your sightlines.
- Recheck after balance changes: Historical build pages do not establish current behavior. Use the same mode and conditions when comparing recoil, aim-down-sight feel, range, and capacity.
These checks follow Activision’s MWIII loadout guidance; they are evaluation steps, not a claim that either build has been tested here.
Keep Warzone recommendations separate
CODMunity’s page also contains a distinct Warzone build and Warzone balance history, including a damage-range adjustment dated August 21, 2024. Its Warzone time-to-kill modeling and balance notes do not establish MW3 multiplayer performance. Use only the page’s separately labeled MW3 setup when comparing multiplayer loadouts, and do not use Warzone-only figures to call the rifle current multiplayer meta.
