Windows Errors? Fix Them Before They Spread
Repair common Windows errors and clear accumulated junk for a smoother, more stable PC - no reinstall needed.Free scan · no reinstallOutdated Drivers Are Slowing You Down
One free scan finds every outdated or missing driver and matches the right update for your exact hardware.Free scan · exact hardware matchFor a continuously looping property tour on YouTube Live, use OBS Studio. Add the video as a Media Source and enable Loop. For a sequence of tours, use OBS’s VLC Video source and enable Loop Playlist; VLC must be installed for that source to be available. If you want a prerecorded broadcast to start at a scheduled time and play once, StreamYard documents that workflow—but it is not a continuous loop.
Which software fits your real estate video stream?
| What you need | Best fit | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Repeat one property video continuously in a YouTube Live broadcast | OBS Studio | Its Media Source can play a local video file and has a Loop option. OBS documents Media Sources. |
| Repeat a sequence of property videos | OBS Studio with VLC Video source | OBS documents playlist playback and a Loop Playlist setting. VLC must be installed for the source to appear. See OBS’s source documentation. |
| Start a prerecorded broadcast at a selected time and play it once | StreamYard prerecorded streaming | Its documented broadcast starts at the scheduled time and ends when the video finishes; it does not describe repeating the video. StreamYard’s prerecorded-streaming guide. |
| Show a host, switch cameras, or add live production elements | OBS Studio or another encoder | YouTube identifies screen sharing, external audio/video hardware, and more advanced productions as encoder use cases. YouTube’s encoder guide. |
For a prepared property tour, a camera, microphone, or capture card is not inherently required: OBS distinguishes local-file Media Sources from Video Capture Sources such as webcams and capture cards. OBS documents those source types. Use capture hardware only if you are bringing in a live camera or another external video source.
How to loop a property video in OBS and stream it to YouTube
- Confirm YouTube Live eligibility. Verify the channel and check that it has not had a live-streaming restriction in the preceding 90 days. YouTube says first-time activation may take up to 24 hours. Live streaming is subject to a minimum age of 16 and YouTube’s Community Guidelines and Terms of Service. See YouTube’s live-streaming eligibility guidance.
- Create a scene in OBS and add the video. In the Sources panel, select + → Media Source, name it, then choose the property-tour file. Enable Loop in the source properties. OBS’s documentation covers local media files and the Loop option. OBS Media Sources.
- For multiple tours, make a playlist. Add a VLC Video source, select the files in the intended order, and enable Loop Playlist. If VLC is not installed, install it and reopen OBS so the VLC source can appear. OBS playlist-source documentation.
- Connect OBS to the YouTube stream. In YouTube Studio, open the Live Control Room and create or select the stream. Copy its server details and stream key into OBS’s streaming settings, following YouTube’s encoder workflow. Treat the stream key like an account credential: do not publish or share it. YouTube explains encoder setup.
- Choose sustainable output settings. Set resolution, frame rate, and bitrate in OBS to values your upload connection can sustain. YouTube recommends RTMPS, publishes bitrate ranges by codec and resolution, and advises testing before the broadcast with similar audio and movement. Consult its current live encoder settings rather than guessing a universal bitrate.
- Test, go live, and watch stream health. Check that the video fills the intended frame, the image and audio are present, and the stream appears healthy in YouTube Studio. Monitor stream health during the broadcast; a successful preview alone does not establish that a long stream will remain uninterrupted. YouTube’s settings guide.
Check rights and property details before broadcasting
A loop does not change the permissions required for the underlying material. Before streaming, confirm you have the rights needed for the video, music, photographs, and other content, and that any people shown may be included. Check that property addresses and other identifying details are appropriate to disclose. YouTube requires live content to comply with its Community Guidelines and Terms of Service; whether a particular tour is cleared for broadcast depends on your rights and circumstances, not on the streaming software. YouTube’s live-streaming policies.
When a scheduled one-time broadcast is a better fit
If you want a prerecorded tour to begin without an operator at a chosen time and play once, StreamYard documents a scheduled prerecorded broadcast that starts automatically and ends with the video. Its guide does not describe a repeat-until-stopped loop. It also says overlays and other media assets cannot be controlled during that automatic broadcast, and lists upload size, bitrate, resolution, and duration limits by plan. Those limits can change, so check the current StreamYard guide for your plan before preparing a file.

Troubleshooting an OBS property-video loop
- The Media Source stops after the video ends: Open its properties and check that Loop is enabled. For a playlist, check Loop Playlist on the VLC Video source. OBS source settings.
- VLC Video is missing from the Sources menu: OBS requires VLC to be installed for that source. Install VLC, then reopen OBS and check again. OBS source requirements.
- You cannot start a YouTube broadcast: Check channel verification, prior live-stream restrictions, and whether first-time live activation is still pending; YouTube says activation may take up to 24 hours. YouTube eligibility guidance.
- YouTube does not receive the OBS stream: Confirm that OBS has the correct server details and stream key for the selected YouTube stream. If the key may have been exposed, replace it in YouTube Studio and update OBS. YouTube encoder setup.
- The stream is unstable or reports poor health: Test with representative movement and audio, lower the output demands if your connection cannot sustain them, and consult YouTube’s current codec- and resolution-specific bitrate ranges. YouTube recommends RTMPS and monitoring stream health. YouTube live encoder settings.
- The video plays but the stream is silent or framed incorrectly: Check the Media Source’s audio behavior and the scene’s audio meters, then verify the canvas and source dimensions in OBS. Run a private or otherwise appropriate test before a public property broadcast; YouTube advises a pre-stream test using similar audio and motion. YouTube testing and stream-health guidance.
