Restream and StreamYard are relevant starting points for the first two workflows; desktop software may suit teams that want more production control. Neither the sources available here establish a like-for-like replacement for Stage TEN’s Shopify-oriented checkout features.
Stage TEN’s present operational status is not confirmed by the sources cited below. OneStream Live claimed in a 2026 alternatives article that Stage TEN is shutting down, but that claim has not been independently corroborated. Check directly with Stage TEN before treating this as a forced migration. OneStream Live’s shutdown claim
What do you need to replace?
Start with the job your production actually needs done, rather than looking for one universal winner. Stage TEN’s November 2024 launch announcement described a live-show network combining interactive broadcasts, products from Shopify stores, and checkout. That mix is different from simply sending one broadcast to multiple destinations. Stage TEN launch announcement
- Guest-led show in a browser: Compare browser studios, guest limits, layouts, branding, and whether guests can also distribute to their own destinations.
- One production sent to multiple channels: Check destination limits, custom RTMP support, and whether multistreaming is included in the plan.
- More desktop control: Consider a desktop application and encoder workflow, optionally paired with a distribution service.
- Live shopping: Verify product presentation, checkout, and supported storefront or social channels explicitly. The sources cited here do not establish that Restream or StreamYard reproduces Stage TEN’s particular Shopify and checkout setup.
- Always-on prerecorded YouTube video: If the need is to keep uploaded videos looping as a YouTube live stream rather than host a live guest show, that is a different workflow. StreamNeo is a cloud option for that use case, not a camera-based live production studio.
Also check the practical plan constraints before choosing: free-tier branding, streaming duration, storage, guest count, destination count, recording options, and the price for your region and billing cadence.

Restream for browser-based multistreaming
Restream’s Help Center says its free plan supports multistreaming to two channels, a browser studio with up to five guests, third-party software such as OBS, multi-chat, analytics, and scheduled events. The Help Center’s 2026 description is a plan detail, not a guarantee that limits will remain unchanged. Paid plans add capabilities such as three or more channels, custom RTMP destinations, Full HD studio streaming, more guests, and automatic recording. Confirm current limits on Restream’s own site before committing. Restream Help Center
This is a sensible shortlist candidate if your priority is distributing a show to several destinations or combining a browser studio with an existing desktop workflow. Check the guest experience and destination support against your actual channel list; “multistreaming” alone does not confirm that every desired destination or guest workflow is covered by a given plan.

StreamYard for a guest-friendly studio
StreamYard’s current pricing page lists a free tier and paid plans with different combinations of Full HD, multistreaming, overlays, clips, guests, recording, custom RTMP destinations, and storage. Its page currently lists three multistream destinations on Core and eight on Advanced; those plan details and displayed prices can change. Its feature help page says guest destinations are a paid feature and On-Air webinars are available on Advanced and higher plans. Check the current plan page for the limits and price that apply when you sign up. StreamYard pricing · StreamYard feature help
Consider it if you value a browser-based guest studio and want to compare its production tools with the destinations and recording options your show requires. Do not assume a guest’s ability to join your studio means they can also send the show to their own channels; confirm guest destinations and plan eligibility.

Desktop production software for hands-on control
If your team prefers to build the show in a desktop application, Restream’s vendor-authored alternatives guide discusses OBS Studio, vMix, and Ecamm as software options or integrations for desktop control or particular interview workflows. It also describes pairing desktop software with Restream for multistream distribution. This is Restream’s comparison material, not an independent evaluation of the applications. Check each vendor’s supported operating systems, licensing, and workflow requirements before selecting one. Restream alternatives guide
A desktop app is a production choice, not automatically a distribution solution: establish whether you need a separate service to deliver the finished stream to multiple destinations, and who will monitor the computer, encoder, and network during the show.

OneStream Live for a historically documented Stage TEN RTMP route
OneStream Live’s help article documents a workflow for connecting a Stage TEN RTMP source through an invitation, stream key, and OneStream account. The article was updated January 14, 2024, so it establishes that the workflow was documented then, not that the integration still works. Ask both vendors whether Stage TEN RTMP support is currently available before building a production around it. OneStream Live help article
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone. How to shortlist without choosing the wrong replacement
- Map the show: Write down whether it is a browser-hosted guest show, a desktop-produced broadcast, a multistream feed, or a commerce-led event. Note any workflow that must continue unchanged.
- List destinations and guest needs: Record every channel, custom RTMP endpoint, guest count, and whether guests need their own distribution. Compare those requirements with the current plan limits, not an old feature list.
- Check production and reuse: Confirm which layouts, overlays, branding controls, clips, polls, graphics, and recording options are available on the specific plan. Check whether recordings are automatic, local or cloud-based, and how much storage is included.
- Validate commerce separately: If your Stage TEN workflow depends on Shopify products or integrated checkout, ask an alternative vendor to demonstrate product display, checkout, and delivery to your intended channels. The cited information does not show that Restream or StreamYard duplicates Stage TEN’s commerce flow.
- Run a small rehearsal: Test the actual guest links, audio and video, destination permissions, recording, and any RTMP handoff using the accounts and plan you expect to use. Confirm the workflow with the vendors where current support is uncertain.
- Compare plan constraints and cost: Include duration limits, free-tier branding, destination and guest caps, recording, storage, and region- or billing-specific pricing. Recheck vendor pages at purchase time because pricing and feature limits change.
Is Stage TEN shutting down?
Do not treat closure as established fact on the evidence cited here. OneStream Live’s 2026 alternatives article says Stage TEN is shutting down, while a third-party GetApp directory listing describes Stage TEN features. Neither independently confirms whether new accounts, live shows, commerce features, or support are currently available. A directory entry is not proof that a service is accepting users, and the OneStream article is a vendor claim rather than an authoritative Stage TEN status notice.
