For most Palworld players, spend early status points on Carry Weight and Stamina. Add Health when tougher fights make survival a problem. Put points into Attack if you personally deal much of your damage, or Work Speed if you often craft and build by hand. There is no official Pocketpair-recommended build; these priorities are playstyle guidance, and PvP server settings can restrict which stats you may raise.
Recommended stat priority
- Carry Weight: A reliable early choice if gathering, looting, and hauling materials are regular parts of your routine.
- Stamina: Invest here when climbing, gliding, swimming, or other movement regularly leaves you short on stamina.
- Health: Raise it when you are personally exposed to tougher enemies and survivability is becoming a problem.
- Attack or Work Speed: Choose based on whether you contribute damage directly in combat or spend substantial time doing tasks by hand.
This is a flexible starting order, not a mandatory build. Your gear, Pal passives, and companions can provide alternatives to some benefits, so the value of another point depends on what you already have and how you play. Current guides from Palworld Database, PalDB, and PalworldCenter support this general approach; Pocketpair’s configuration reference documents the stats that can be allocated, not an optimal build.

What each stat does and the reported point gains
The five player stats appear in Pocketpair’s server settings as HP, Stamina, Weight, Work Speed, and Attack. The following base values and gains are reported by Palworld Database in its guide updated August 11, 2026; they are guide-reported game mechanics, not figures published on Pocketpair’s configuration page.

Palworld Database also reports a rank-50 ceiling for these stats and 79 level-derived status points by level 80. Those values describe that guide’s account of the game’s mechanics; Pocketpair’s configuration documentation does not publish the per-point gains or point budget.

How to choose between the situational stats
Health for exposed or difficult fights
Health is a useful investment when you take hits directly and are struggling to stay alive. If your Pals handle most combat and you rarely face a survival problem, points may help more elsewhere.
Attack for player-led combat
Attack suits players who regularly contribute damage themselves. If your combat approach relies more on Pals, it is less compelling than improving the carrying or movement that affects your everyday play.

Work Speed for hands-on crafting and building
Work Speed is most relevant when you personally handle labor at your base. If Pals do most of that work, or your time is spent exploring, the stat may have less value to you.
Can you reset spent status points?
PalDB and Palworld Database report that Memory Wiping Medicine refunds spent player status points. Palworld Database lists an Electric Medicine Workbench at technology level 43 and describes the medicine as expensive to craft; PalDB reports a recipe of 99 Beautiful Flower, 50 Horn, 50 Bone, and 50 Aquatic Pal Fluids. Recipes and progression details can change, so check the item’s current recipe in your game before planning a build around a reset.

Check PvP server rules before allocating points
On a PvP server, the administrator can disable allocation to HP and Attack. Pocketpair’s PvP server guide says, “Players can no longer increase their HP or Attack stats,” for the applicable server configuration, and lists the related settings as bAllowEnhanceStat_Health=False and bAllowEnhanceStat_Attack=False. This is a server option, not a universal restriction in every save. Pocketpair’s configuration reference, marked documentation version 1.0.4, lists allocation settings for Attack, Health, Stamina, Weight, and Work Speed; check the rules of your own server before settling on a plan.
