2. Use the default or high-quality preset as a baseline

6. Use an upscaler only if the game actually provides one

The FPS counter is high, but motion feels jerky
- Repeat the same route and look for spikes rather than the average.
- Try a stable frame cap below the highest fluctuating value.
- Reduce shadows, effects or post-processing one step.
- Disable unnecessary overlays and recording features, then retest.
Performance drops when turning the camera or entering a new area
- Check whether dedicated VRAM is close to full.
