What the cup allows
In the historical rules published for the Dual Destiny season, Holiday Cup: Little Edition required Pokémon to be at or below 500 CP and allowed Normal-, Grass-, Electric-, Ice-, Flying-, and Ghost-type Pokémon. Those are historical rules, not confirmation that the cup is currently available. If it returns, check its in-game rules before building a team.
Alternatives named by the guide
Arcader News also names Flying Pikachu, Joltik, Alolan Sandslash, Fletchling, and Wigglytuff as options. Compare them with the suggested trio based on the Pokémon you have available and the matchups you actually see:

Is Holiday Cup: Little Edition running in October 2026?
No Holiday Cup: Little Edition appears in Pokémon GO’s published Twilight Trails schedule. The official schedule lists regular Little Cup from October 13–20, 2026 instead. That listing does not establish that Holiday Cup: Little Edition will run during that period.
How to use rankings carefully
PvPoke explains that its rankings are based on simulated matchup Battle Ratings and that ideal move assumptions can make Pokémon look stronger than they are in practice. Its cited page is for general Little Cup rankings, not Holiday Cup: Little Edition, so it should not be treated as a direct ranking of this cup’s team choices.
