Its value is variety and regional identity, not a full vegetation simulation. Pair it with a compatible nature overhaul only after checking which package controls weather states and scripts. The download page separately labels a classic 1.31/1.32 file. Never install that classic file into a Next-Gen 4.04 setup, or the Next-Gen file into a classic installation.
Realistic Rain V3 and Vegetation Billboards Remastered V3: narrow Next-Gen improvements

Use Weather Machine’s Next-Gen file for delayed, randomized rain and snow by region. Treat it as the weather scheduler; avoid another mod that also randomizes or rewrites regional weather unless the authors explicitly document compatibility.
How to install safely on Next-Gen 4.04
- Confirm the game branch. Check the executable and the mod page’s label. Next-Gen 4.04 and classic 1.31/1.32 files are separate; do not infer compatibility from a similar filename.
- Read the current file description. Confirm whether the release is a main file, optional file or legacy file, and note warnings such as the one attached to Realistic Weather.

Dynamic Grass supplies wind-wave behavior, not necessarily the body-and-foot collision described for Classic Grass Collision. Verify that the collision mod is installed, that its file targets Next-Gen 4.04, and that Script Merger resolved its scripts without an overwrite from another grass package.

Vegetation is missing or looks flat in the distance
Check whether a billboard package is installed for your branch and whether a larger vegetation overhaul has replaced its files. Reinstall the intended package through the manager and test distant terrain before adding further texture mods.
Performance drops after increasing grass density
Return to default or High density, then test again. If frame pacing improves, the density setting is the immediate cause; keep it lower or remove overlapping vegetation systems before changing unrelated graphics options.
