For Arena, build Agar Agar Cookie with five Flaming Chocolate toppings and prioritize Cooldown, then DMG Resist and CRIT. For PvE, use three Flaming Chocolate and two Flaming Raspberry for a balance of casts and damage, or five Flaming Raspberry when damage is the priority. Pair her with a Legendary Crispy Beascuit, rolling for Cooldown first, followed by ATK, CRIT and DMG Resist. These are guide recommendations, not proven universal best-in-slot results; choose around your mode and the Guardian she will mimic.
Why Agar Agar Cookie’s build depends on her skill
Agar Agar Cookie is an Epic Ambush Cookie positioned in the middle. Her Ravenous Mirror skill has a listed base cooldown of 15 seconds and mimics one of five Legendary Guardians of Nature: Fire Spirit, Stormbringer, Sea Fairy, Wind Archer or Frost Queen. If one of those Cookies is on your team, she copies that character; if none is present, she uses a random mimic. When multiple compatible Guardians are present, the character reference says she randomly selects one for the battle. Character reference.
That makes Cooldown valuable for more frequent casts, while the selected Guardian shapes the skill and elemental context you may want to build around. The mimic should not be treated as an identical copy of the Guardian’s full kit: the reference cautions that mimicked skills do not necessarily reproduce every debuff from the original.
Best toppings by game mode
| Use | Recommended toppings | Why choose it |
|---|---|---|
| Arena / PvP | 5 Flaming Chocolate | Prioritizes Cooldown uptime; favor DMG Resist and CRIT as useful bonus stats. |
| PvE / exploration, balanced | 3 Flaming Chocolate + 2 Flaming Raspberry | Balances skill frequency with ATK. |
| Damage-focused PvE | 5 Flaming Raspberry | Leans into ATK at the expense of some Cooldown. |
| Fallback if Flaming toppings are unavailable | Swift Chocolate or Searing Raspberry | Choose Swift Chocolate for Cooldown or Searing Raspberry for attack. |
The mode-based recommendations come from a guide updated July 23, 2026. Agar Agar Cookie topping guide. AllClash also recommends a mixed Raspberry-and-Chocolate direction to balance ATK and skill frequency, though its displayed build configuration differs from the mode-based guide. How to choose between Chocolate and Raspberry
- Choose more Chocolate when you want Ravenous Mirror available more often.
- Choose more Raspberry when you want to emphasize damage and can give up some cast frequency.
- In Arena, the five-Flaming-Chocolate recommendation pairs Cooldown with DMG Resist and CRIT substats, rather than making the topping set alone responsible for survival.
Raspberry is commonly recommended for Ambush Cookies as a role-level trend: GachaData reports it for 105 of 183 Cookies in its 2026 roster analysis. That statistic is not an Agar Agar-specific recommendation. GachaData topping analysis.
Best Beascuit and substats
Use a Legendary Crispy Beascuit as the general-purpose choice. Prioritize Cooldown, then ATK, CRIT and DMG Resist when rolling its bonus stats. An earlier Destructoid guide also favors Crispy and Cooldown, and lists DMG Resist Bypass, CRIT and Element DMG as damage-oriented options. Destructoid build guide.

Element DMG is a refinement rather than a universal requirement: its relevance depends on which Guardian Agar Agar is paired with and therefore which mimic skill she uses. Start with the general priorities, then tailor an elemental bonus if you are building around a specific Guardian.
Set the team before fine-tuning the build
- Pick the Guardian you want her to mimic. Add that compatible Guardian—Fire Spirit, Stormbringer, Sea Fairy, Wind Archer or Frost Queen—to make the target predictable according to the character reference and 2026 build guide. Character reference; 2026 build guide.
- Build around the battle’s need. Favor Cooldown when repeated casts matter, ATK when damage matters more, and DMG Resist when Arena survival is a concern.
- Account for other compatible Guardians. With none, expect a random mimic; with multiple, the reference says only one is chosen at random for that battle.
What to know about guide differences and updates
Published recommendations do not establish one universal topping ratio: the July 2026 guide differentiates Arena and PvE, while AllClash presents a mixed Raspberry-and-Chocolate approach. Neither source reports a controlled comparison proving one set is optimal in every mode. Use the build that matches your goal rather than treating any ratio as guaranteed best-in-slot.
