The House of the Dead: OVERKILL
OVERKILL is the pick for a knowingly exaggerated horror-action tone. Nintendo describes its presentation as B-movie-inspired and says the Wii Remote allows accurate targeting; the same product page confirms Wii Zapper support. Its two-player co-op suits a shared run, while competitive play for up to four players offers a different group option. Those are listed game features, not a claim that the Zapper improves accuracy. What hardware do you need?
These games use the Wii Remote as a pointing controller; they are commonly called light-gun games, but the Wii Remote’s infrared pointer is not a traditional screen-detecting light gun. The Wii Zapper is a gun-shaped holder for the Wii Remote and Nunchuk. Nintendo documents Zapper compatibility for the featured games, but does not establish that the accessory makes aiming more accurate.
- For basic play: use the control setup specified on the game’s product page. The cited pages document Wii Remote pointing, and some list the Nunchuk as part of an alternative setup.
- For the gun-shaped grip: use a Wii Zapper with compatible games. It is optional rather than a universal requirement for this shortlist.
- When buying a bundle: confirm the region and edition and whether the physical package actually includes a Zapper. Nintendo describes some uses as separately sold and notes an optional bundle for Darkside Chronicles; bundle contents can differ.
Where does Link’s Crossbow Training fit?
