The best Wondrous Physick mix depends on your build and the fight: choose two Crystal Tears at a Site of Grace, pairing an effect that fits your damage or playstyle with one that addresses the encounter. How the Flask of Wondrous Physick works
You find the Flask of Wondrous Physick at the Third Church of Marika in northeastern Limgrave. At any Site of Grace, choose “Mix Wondrous Physick” and assign up to two Crystal Tears. The Flask is replenished when you rest, so the tears are components of its mix—not separate consumables you use up each time. Bandai Namco’s starter guide describes the feature as a way to customize the Flask’s effects.
Which Crystal Tears make the best mixes?
There is no universally best pair. Match the effects to your damage type and combat plan, then consider whether the encounter calls for a short burst, sustained offense, or extra survivability. These combinations focus on the effects documented in the Crystal Tears item database; numerical effect values can vary with game updates and are not included here.
For a spell burst
Pair Cerulean Hidden Tear with a tear that supports the spell or build you plan to use. Cerulean Hidden Tear briefly removes FP consumption—about 10 seconds according to the item database—so it is most useful when you can spend that window casting, rather than as a general-purpose long-duration buff.

For damage-focused builds
Choose a damage-shrouding tear that matches the damage you deal, then pair it with a compatible stat or attack-style effect. Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear, for example, boosts fire attacks. A damage boost that does not match your attacks is a poor use of one of the two slots.
For sustained melee or charged attacks
Greenburst Crystal Tear raises stamina recovery speed, supporting repeated attacks and dodges. Spiked Cracked Tear enhances charged attacks. Pick Greenburst when stamina cycling is central to your approach; pick Spiked when you rely on charged hits. Their benefits serve different combat patterns.

Where to find the Flask and useful Crystal Tears
The Flask is at the Third Church of Marika in northeastern Limgrave. For tears, start by checking Minor Erdtrees and the minibosses that guard them. Some are elsewhere: dungeon minibosses and hidden treasure chests are also reported sources. The table gives example locations, not a complete inventory; use your map and progression to confirm the route.

How to choose a pair for a specific fight
- Check compatibility: Does the effect match your weapon, damage type, stats, or attack style?
- Check timing: Is the benefit brief and best saved for a planned burst, or useful over a longer stretch of combat?
- Choose your priority: Decide whether the second slot should add offense, survival, HP recovery, or FP support.
- Account for progression: A strong tear is only an option once you have reached its location and defeated any guardian.
Adjust the mix at a Site of Grace when you change your build or prepare for a different encounter. The right pair is the one whose effects you can use reliably in that situation.
