Roundup pricing lists Growth for one site at $99.50 per year, Business for unlimited sites at $199.50 per year, and an All Access Bundle at $249 per year. Smart Coupons by WebToffee
WebToffee Smart Coupons is commonly recommended for bulk coupon generation and code-centered promotions. A free version is reported. Secondary pricing reports place premium plans from $89 per year, $129 per year for up to five sites, and $249 per year for up to 25 sites. These are roundup figures rather than confirmed current vendor prices.
This is a sensible first test for a campaign that needs many unique codes, scheduled offers, or more advanced coupon administration than WooCommerce supplies by itself. Before committing, check whether the plan includes the exact restrictions you need, such as product, category, customer, or usage limits.
Smart Coupons by StoreApps
StoreApps sells a separate product also called Smart Coupons. It is frequently identified for store credit and gift certificates rather than as a general free coupon utility. Discount Rules for WooCommerce by Flycart
Discount Rules is the clearest fit for automatic pricing rules based on quantity, cart value, product selection, or customer role. A free version is reported, making it a practical way to prototype a promotion before buying Pro. Reported Pro prices start at about $85 per year for one site; other sources cite $89, while one listing cites $59 annually. Additional reported tiers are $135 per year for five sites and $295 per year for 25 sites.
Role-based rules are reported as Pro-only. If your promotion depends on wholesale, subscriber, or other WordPress roles, test that specific condition in the paid edition rather than assuming the free plugin includes it. The same caution applies to complex “If” logic and multi-condition BOGO rules.
ELEX Dynamic Pricing and Discounts
ELEX is another automatic-discount option with a reported free version and a Premium plan reported from $99 per year for one site. It belongs on the shortlist when the store needs dynamic pricing rather than a large coupon-code operation. Compare its rule editor and condition depth with Discount Rules using a copy of your real catalog; a feature label such as “quantity discount” does not reveal how variations, categories, exclusions, or stacking behave.
AsanaPlugins Discount Rules
AsanaPlugins is reported to offer a broad free feature set and paid plans from EUR 39 per year for one site. YITH Dynamic Pricing and Discounts is named among automatic-pricing alternatives, but no free tier is reported. Published roundup prices conflict: one lists $144.99 per year and another lists $179 per year or more. Treat both as indicative only. Among the reported figures, Power Coupons has the lowest single-site Pro starting price at $49 per year. Discount Rules is the next commonly cited low entry point at roughly $85 per year, although another source lists $59. Advanced Coupons has the lowest reported headline price for unlimited sites, but its renewal may be higher than the first-year amount.
How to choose without buying the wrong extension
- Describe the shopper action. Does the customer type a code, receive an automatic price change, spend account credit, or earn points? Select a code-focused, rule-focused, credit, or loyalty product accordingly.
- Write the conditions in plain language. Examples include “20% off category A,” “10% off when quantity reaches five,” “free item when product X is bought,” or “available only to wholesale users.” Convert every sentence into a test case.
- Check the free edition first. Install the reported free version on a staging site and confirm that the editor exposes the conditions and exclusions you need. Do not assume a free label includes bulk generation, role rules, BOGO, or credit balances.
- Map the license to your installations. Count production, staging, and development sites according to the vendor’s license definition. Compare first-year and renewal prices, not just the headline discount.
- Test interactions. Run the plugin with tax, shipping, variable products, subscriptions, payment gateways, caching, and any other pricing extension active on the store. Coupon stacking and rounding errors often appear only in combinations.
- Document the rollback. Export or record existing coupons, take a database backup, and know how to disable the extension without leaving discounted prices or orphaned balances.

- Set the discount type and amount, then define products, categories, minimum spend, maximum spend, eligible roles, and exclusions.
- Generate a small batch on staging and place test orders with eligible and ineligible carts.
- Export or securely distribute the final batch. Keep a record of the campaign, generation date, intended audience, and revocation plan.
- After launch, monitor redemptions and disable unused codes when the campaign ends.
Bulk generation does not automatically make a promotion secure. Predictable patterns, unlimited redemptions, and missing product exclusions can turn a marketing campaign into an uncontrolled discount.
Cart conditions and automatic discounts
For cart-value, quantity, product, or role-based rules, start with Discount Rules, ELEX, AsanaPlugins, or YITH. Build the rule from the narrowest condition outward:
- Select the trigger, such as subtotal, item quantity, product, category, shipping class, or user role.
- Set the threshold and discount method: percentage, fixed amount, fixed price, or free item where supported.
- Add exclusions for sale products, gift cards, low-margin items, and products that must never combine with the offer.
- Define priority and stacking behavior when more than one rule matches.
- Test the boundary values: one unit below the threshold, exactly at the threshold, and one unit above it.
- Check display behavior on product, cart, and checkout pages so the customer can understand why the price changed.
Role-based pricing deserves special attention. In Discount Rules, role-based rules are reported as Pro-only; verify the equivalent plan requirement in every competing extension.

Buy X, get Y promotions
A BOGO offer is not the same as a percentage coupon. Specify whether the free or discounted item must be identical, from a category, or selected by the shopper; whether the trigger counts line items or total units; and whether multiple rewards can be earned in one cart. Then test mixed variations, quantities above the first threshold, returns, and coupon stacking. If a plugin advertises BOGO but does not expose these controls, it may not model your promotion accurately.
Store credit and gift certificates
Store credit changes the accounting model because a balance can survive several orders. Before enabling it, decide how credit is issued, whether it expires, whether it can be combined with coupons, how partial redemption works, and what happens after a refund. Smart Coupons by StoreApps is the product most often associated with this use case in the comparisons. Advanced Coupons’ All Access Bundle is the alternative when credit or gift cards must coexist with loyalty points and broader promotion tools.

- the first-year price and the renewal price;
- the number of production, staging, and multisite activations;
- whether lifetime licenses include updates and support permanently;

For a single store, the cheapest headline price may not be the lowest total cost if it excludes the required BOGO, role, credit, or loyalty module. For agencies or store groups, an unlimited-site plan can be cheaper than several single-site renewals, but only if the license permits the intended installations.
