For a prerecorded YouTube channel that needs to stay live around the clock, start with a cloud service built to loop uploaded videos. StreamNeo is the closest fit here: upload a video or playlist, add your YouTube stream key, and run it from the cloud, with any uploaded quality up to 4K 60fps at one flat price per slot and automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream. Other alternatives suit broader workflows—multistreaming, studio production, playout, or configurable streaming infrastructure—but their 24/7 limits and plan eligibility need closer checking.
First, distinguish the job from the product name
A continuous prerecorded YouTube channel is not the same job as encoding a live camera or studio program. Purpose-built looping services take uploaded recordings or playlists and keep them playing as a live stream. A configurable streaming server can support a wider range of ingest, encoding, and delivery workflows, but typically requires more setup and operational responsibility.
The title names Wowza Streaming Cloud, but current Wowza product material surfaced for this comparison emphasizes Wowza Streaming Engine and also references other offerings. Streaming Engine is configurable server software that Wowza says can run on-premises, at the edge, in the cloud, or in air-gapped environments; Wowza also describes using it to build always-on channels and video-on-demand libraries. That is useful context, not proof that Streaming Engine is the same product or a like-for-like replacement for Wowza Streaming Cloud. Confirm the exact Wowza service, availability, and plan you are replacing before comparing costs or migration paths.
Best alternatives, ranked by fit for always-on YouTube
These options solve different problems. Check the exact continuous-stream mode, eligible plan, simultaneous stream count, quality, storage, and target platforms before committing; a scheduled-event loop does not necessarily mean indefinite 24/7 operation.

How the main alternatives differ
StreamNeo: a direct fit for a prerecorded YouTube loop
StreamNeo is a YouTube-only cloud service for uploaded videos, not camera-based live production. Each slot includes one always-on stream, 10 GB of storage per slot pooled across active slots, 24/7 looping and playlists, automatic recovery if YouTube drops the stream, and support from the StreamNeo team. The uploaded file streams as made, up to 4K 60fps, without re-encoding or quality tiers. All plans have the same features; the billing term changes.
Current listed billing options are Daily $0.99 per day · Weekly $2.99 per week · Monthly $9.99 per month · 6 months $49.99 for 6 months · Yearly $89.99 a year. The page displays the applicable regional price; UPI and cards are available in India, and card checkout is available worldwide. A one-day trial is available once per account without a card. For five or more slots, contact StreamNeo support.

Gyre: check stream capacity and plan features
Gyre’s official pricing table surfaced Start at $49 monthly, Start+ at $99, and PRO+ at $169. The plans differ by simultaneous streams, resolution, storage, playlist access, and scheduler features. Treat those as the prices and plan labels displayed in the surfaced table, not as a guarantee of current checkout terms; confirm the current plan details and supported destination for your channel.
OneStream Live: clarify the 24/7 entitlement
OneStream’s help material describes a YouTube-only 24/7 workflow and says a stream can be scheduled for up to 30 days in one guide. However, that guide names Enterprise, while another article lists a YouTube-only add-on for up to three concurrent streams. Because those pages describe different eligibility routes, check your account’s actual entitlement before building an operation around the feature.

Castr: broader playout, not just a loop
Castr lists 24/7 playout alongside hosting, monetization, and OTT capabilities. Its pricing page surfaced Starter at $19.99 per month, with two streams, six destinations, and 200 GB monthly bandwidth. Confirm that the listed plan supports your intended always-on workflow and that its bandwidth and destination limits fit your use. Castr’s comparison material claims a 99.9% uptime SLA, multi-CDN failover, and 24/7 support; read the actual SLA terms rather than treating those claims as a prediction of your channel’s outcome.
StreamYard: studio-first, with a surfaced duration cap
StreamYard is centered on a browser studio and multistreaming. The surfaced Core plan pricing page lists a two-hour limit for prerecorded streams, so it is a poor direct match if the requirement is a single indefinite prerecorded loop unless a different current plan or feature is confirmed to cover that use.

Wowza Streaming Engine: infrastructure control
Streaming Engine may be worth evaluating when you need control over protocols, deployment, processing, or integrations beyond playing uploaded files. Wowza’s surfaced Basic Monthly price is $195 per month for one instance and up to 10 concurrent transcoded channels. That figure is for Streaming Engine, not a verified current price for a product called Wowza Streaming Cloud, and it should not be compared as though both names refer to the same plan.
DIY: control in exchange for continuous operations
A PC or VPS can run a streaming workflow continuously, but the operator owns the full chain: encoding, internet and power availability, process restarts, monitoring, stream-key handling, and updates. A local computer also ties continuity to the reliability of the home network and power. This route makes sense when customization or hands-on control outweighs the value of managed cloud operation; compare the full operating cost and recovery effort, not just the hardware or server fee.

Choose by operational need, not just headline price
- Choose a purpose-built cloud loop service when your source is prerecorded and your main goal is continuous YouTube availability with little local maintenance. Compare stream slots, output quality, storage, playlist tools, recovery behavior, and billing duration.
- Choose a broader platform when multistreaming, hosting, monetization, guest studio production, or TV-style playout justifies extra features. Verify that the precise plan includes the 24/7 mode you need.
- Choose configurable infrastructure when protocol, encoding, deployment, integrations, or operational control are requirements rather than nice-to-haves. Include hosting and operator time in the cost.
- Choose DIY only if you are prepared to own uptime operations and recovery. A low subscription or hardware price does not remove the need for monitoring and maintenance.
For a cost comparison, count every simultaneous channel, the quality you need, included storage and bandwidth, any add-ons, and the renewal term. A base plan is not a useful comparison if your required stream count or continuous mode costs extra.
YouTube setup and channel checks still matter
A cloud loop service handles playback and continuous operation; it does not remove YouTube’s account, encoder, or content rules. Use YouTube’s live encoder setup guidance for current stream setup requirements. Before starting, confirm that live streaming is enabled for the channel, use the correct YouTube stream key in the service, and do not share that key publicly. If you rotate or replace the key in YouTube, update it in the streaming service as well.
- Use recordings and music you own or are licensed to stream. A video being uploaded by you does not establish that you have live-streaming rights to its music, footage, or other material.
- Review YouTube’s current copyright and live-streaming rules before running a long loop; platform policies and enforcement can change.
- Make the channel’s programming meaningfully useful to viewers. Repeating content is not itself proof of a policy violation, but a channel built from material it cannot use or that offers little original value may create copyright or monetization risks. Do not assume that continuous uptime guarantees monetization or recommendation.
- Test the stream privately or with an unlisted event where practical, check the picture and audio, and confirm the correct channel and key before scheduling an extended run.
