What is Between Horizons?
Developed by DigiTales Interactive and published by Assemble Entertainment, Between Horizons casts players as Stella, a 24-year-old born aboard the Zephyr. After taking over her father’s role as Chief of Security, she investigates a murder and a conspiracy on the generation ship as it travels toward another star. The premise combines a closed-circle mystery with the tensions of life aboard a ship carrying a colony to a new world.

In his July 15, 2025 review, Adrian Oprea of Raider King reported that the game autosaves and that a wrong case solution can persist through a playthrough. That makes it worth taking time to review the clues and conversations before committing to an answer. Oprea also noted that crossing the ship and locating characters could become tedious. These are observations from his review, not a guarantee that every player will experience the same degree of friction.

When comparing it with another detective adventure, consider how much each game makes you infer versus signaling answers, how substantially decisions affect the outcome, how convenient its evidence and navigation systems are, and whether its visual style and pace appeal to you. The available reviews support those as useful comparison questions, but do not establish a controlled head-to-head ranking.
