BeXide Inc. is developing Cat and Paste!, a multiplayer hide-and-seek party game in which cats disguise themselves by copying stage objects and pasting decoys around the level. The listing advertises online play for up to 16 players on Windows and macOS. It is marked “Coming soon,” and no release date or price has been published.
What the game is
BeXide Inc. is listed as both the developer and publisher. The core idea is simple to describe: a cat copies an object on the stage, transforms into that object, and then pastes copies of it elsewhere in the level. Those pasted decoys give hiding players more places to blend in, so the seeking side has to work out which objects are real cats and which are not. The game’s identity rests on that copy-and-paste disguise, which is what separates it from a standard hide-and-seek setup.
How the mechanic plays out
The listing describes the disguise system at the level of the premise. It does not explain how many rounds a match runs, how long a hiding phase lasts, how many decoys a cat can place, or how seekers detect a disguise. Those rules will decide whether the game feels tense or chaotic, so they are the first details to look for once BeXide publishes gameplay information.
Players, platforms and online play
- Online play: the listing advertises matches for up to 16 players. This is a stated feature of the game, not a figure from a survey or measured test, and the listing does not say whether local or split-screen play is included.
- Platforms: Windows and macOS are shown as supported. Consoles and mobile devices are not mentioned.
- Controllers: the listing reports partial controller support and gamepad-oriented metadata. It does not name specific tested controller models, so a keyboard-and-mouse setup and a gamepad should both be treated as options until BeXide confirms the control scheme.
What is confirmed and what is not
The table below separates what the SteamDB listing (record updated October 9, 2026) states from what has not yet been published by BeXide.

How to verify the details
The information in this article comes from a secondary game-database listing rather than an official BeXide announcement, so treat it as provisional. Before planning a purchase or a group session around the game, check BeXide’s own channels for the announcement wording, the final platform list, the release date, pricing and any system requirements. If those details differ from what is shown here, the official statement takes precedence.
If you are comparing it with other party games
No direct competitors were confirmed for this article, so a meaningful comparison is not possible yet. If you are weighing Cat and Paste! against other hide-and-seek or party titles, the most useful measures to compare are maximum player count, platform availability, release status, and the core disguise or hiding mechanic.
