If Binance says a verification code is required but nothing arrives, first identify the channel shown on the official verification screen: email, SMS, an authenticator app, or a passkey approval. An authenticator code and a passkey approval are not delivered by text message or email, so checking the wrong inbox cannot solve that type of challenge. Confirm the destination and method in the Binance website or app, then use the matching troubleshooting path below.
Start by identifying the verification method
Open the sign-in, withdrawal, security-change, or account-recovery page only from the official Binance website or app. Read the prompt carefully before requesting another code. The screen normally indicates whether Binance is sending an email OTP, sending an SMS to a masked phone number, asking for a six-digit authenticator code, or requesting approval with a passkey.

- Email: Binance sends a one-time code to the registered mailbox. The address displayed on the page should match the account you intend to use.
- SMS: The code goes to the registered phone number, subject to carrier and country or region coverage.
- Authenticator: The code is generated locally by an enrolled authenticator app. There is no incoming message to wait for.
- Passkey: You approve the request with the device, browser, or security key that holds the passkey. It is not an emailed or texted number.
If the page offers several methods, choose an already registered alternative rather than repeatedly requesting a message through a channel that is unavailable.
When a Binance email code does not arrive
Work through these checks in order. Request a fresh code from the verification page before checking delivery, because an old message may no longer be valid after a new request.

- Verify the account address. Make sure you are signed in to the email account registered with Binance and that the address shown in the Binance flow is the one you expect. Apple’s Hide My Email feature can make the visible address different from your everyday mailbox; that case is covered below.
- Press “Get Code.” A code is not sent merely because the verification page is open. Select the button once and wait for the result rather than clicking repeatedly.
- Search every mailbox folder. Check Inbox, Spam, Junk, Trash, quarantine, and any provider-specific “Promotions,” “Updates,” or filtered views. Search for Binance and for the subject of the verification message.
- Review provider filters and forwarding rules. A rule may archive, delete, forward, or quarantine automated messages before you see them. Temporarily review blocked-sender lists and server-side filtering in the provider’s web interface, not only in a phone mail app.
- Check mailbox capacity and provider health. A full mailbox can reject new mail. If other messages are delayed, consult your provider’s service-status page or send a test message to the same address from another account.
- Allow official Binance senders. Binance says that, when a provider pushes its messages into spam, you can mark frequently used official Binance addresses as safe or whitelist them. Its address list is provided for reference and may change, so verify any sender through official Binance Support rather than trusting an address copied from an unexpected message.
After changing a filter, return to the authenticated Binance page and request another code. Do not use a code from an earlier request if the page reports that a newer code was issued.
When a Binance SMS verification code is not arriving
SMS delivery depends on the phone number stored on the account, local coverage, the mobile carrier, and settings that can block automated messages. Confirm the number and country or region shown in the Binance flow before changing anything on the phone.
- Check coverage. Binance advises checking its global SMS coverage list when SMS Authentication cannot be enabled. A country or region that is not covered may require another registered method instead of repeated SMS requests.
- Confirm signal and service. Move to an area with reliable cellular signal, verify that the phone can receive an ordinary test text, and check whether the carrier has an outage or delayed-message incident.
- Inspect blocking controls. Review blocked numbers, spam-text settings, call-blocker or anti-virus apps, firewall profiles, and carrier-level filtering. A security app can suppress automated short-code messages without showing a normal notification.
- Restart the phone. A restart can re-register the device with the mobile network and clear a stuck messaging process.
- Use an offered alternative. Some Binance flows provide voice verification or let you select another registered two-factor method. The choices vary by account and by the action you are attempting.
- Reset SMS Authentication only through Binance’s authenticated recovery flow. Do not follow a reset link sent by an unsolicited caller, chat account, or email. A reset can trigger additional security checks and may temporarily restrict sensitive actions.
Do not assume that installing a different messaging app, buying a new SIM, or using a VPN will fix carrier coverage. Those actions do not change the phone number or regional support configured for the Binance account.

What to do after repeated requests or a “wrong code” error
Repeated rapid requests can make the situation harder to diagnose. Binance’s 2FA troubleshooting guidance says to try again in about 10 minutes when no code arrives. During that interval, stop pressing “Get Code,” keep the original verification page open if possible, and check the delivery channel rather than starting several simultaneous sessions.
Different messages point to different problems:
| What you see | Likely issue | Next action |
|---|---|---|
| No message or prompt | Wrong channel, filtering, coverage, or a temporary delivery delay | Confirm the method, complete the email or SMS checks, then wait about 10 minutes before one new request |
| “Wrong code” | Expired code, code from an earlier request, mistyped digits, or an authenticator clock mismatch | Request or generate one fresh code and enter it exactly; avoid mixing codes from different attempts |
| “Send code failed” | Session, network, device, or temporary service problem | Switch between Wi-Fi and mobile data, try another device, and use a private browsing window |
| Processing or loading error | Stale browser data or an unstable connection | Clear browser cache and cookies, reopen the official site, and retry on a stable network |
| Method unavailable | The account does not have that 2FA method enrolled or the region is unsupported | Select another registered method or begin official account recovery |
For related code and processing errors, Binance recommends avoiding frequent requests, trying another device or network, switching between Wi-Fi and mobile data, clearing cache and cookies, using incognito mode, or using another device. These steps address the session in which the code is requested; they do not create a missing SMS or email channel.
Authenticator-app codes: nothing is supposed to arrive
An authenticator code is generated on the enrolled phone or other device. Open the authenticator app linked to Binance and use the current code shown for the Binance entry. Check the device’s date and time settings if valid codes are rejected; an incorrect clock can make time-based codes fail even when the secret is correct.

Do not delete the Binance entry or reinstall the authenticator app unless you have the recovery information and an official recovery plan. Removing an entry can leave you without the secret needed to generate new codes. If the app is unavailable, the phone was lost, or the code is rejected after confirming the time, use another registered method if the Binance screen offers one. Otherwise, follow Binance’s authenticated 2FA recovery process.
Binance lists BAuthenticator and Google Authenticator among possible alternatives when SMS coverage is unavailable or another two-factor method is needed. Availability depends on the account’s settings and the live verification screen; an app cannot be added during a blocked sign-in unless Binance permits enrollment through a verified recovery path.
Passkey approvals and device prompts
A passkey challenge appears as a device or browser approval, not as a numeric message. Make sure you are using the browser profile, phone, tablet, or security key where the passkey was enrolled. Unlock that device with its normal screen lock, biometric check, or security-key action, then approve only a request you initiated on the official Binance page.

If no prompt appears, check that Bluetooth or the security key connection is available when your passkey setup requires it, and try the browser or device that originally registered the passkey. Look for an option such as “try another method” on the Binance screen. If the passkey device is lost or inaccessible, do not accept an unexpected approval request on another device; use an enrolled authenticator, email, SMS, or the official account-recovery route instead.

If the account was created with Apple ID and Hide My Email enabled, Binance says its messages may be forwarded to the Apple relay address associated with that Apple ID rather than to the personal address you normally check. The relay address can look unfamiliar, so searching only your usual mailbox may miss the message.
On an Apple device, open Settings → Apple ID → Sign-In & Security and locate the address receiving messages for the relevant sign-in. Check the mailbox connected to that relay address, including its spam and filtered folders. Do not disable forwarding or delete the relay address while trying to regain access; doing so can interrupt delivery for other services tied to the Apple account.

Security checks before you enter any code
A missing code is also a reason to verify that the request itself is genuine. Use the Binance website or app you opened directly, not a link supplied by a stranger, a social-media account, or an unsolicited support message.
- Never share your password, SMS code, email OTP, authenticator secret, passkey approval, recovery code, private key, or remote access with anyone claiming to fix the problem.
- Do not read a code aloud to a caller or paste it into a support chat. A legitimate support representative should not need your one-time credential.
- Binance’s anti-phishing guidance says its configured anti-phishing code appears in legitimate Binance email and SMS. If that code is missing or incorrect, the message may be a phishing or smishing attempt and should be reported immediately.
- An anti-phishing code is a user-configured identifier in a message; it is not the same as the one-time verification code you type into the login or transaction screen.
If you entered credentials into a suspicious page, stop using that page, change the password from the official Binance site, review active sessions and security methods, and contact official Binance Support through the authenticated route. If you approved a passkey request you did not initiate, treat the account as potentially compromised and begin the same security review immediately.
Choose the correct recovery path
| Your situation | Best next step | What not to do |
|---|---|---|
| Email is missing but the address is correct | Check all folders and provider filters, confirm mailbox capacity, whitelist official senders, then request one new code after the waiting period | Do not trust a replacement link from an unsolicited message |
| SMS is unavailable in your region or on your carrier | Check Binance’s coverage information and select an available authenticator, passkey, or voice option | Do not repeatedly request SMS or assume a VPN changes coverage |
| Authenticator phone is lost | Use another enrolled method or Binance’s authenticated recovery flow | Do not delete the old authenticator record before securing recovery information |
| Passkey device is unavailable | Select another method on the official verification screen or start account recovery | Do not approve a prompt you did not initiate |
| Message has a missing or wrong anti-phishing code | Stop, report the message, and open Binance directly | Do not reply, click its links, or disclose any code |
When none of the enrolled methods works, use Binance’s official Support route and follow the identity and account-ownership checks shown there. Recovery may require additional verification, and changing a two-factor method can impose security restrictions. Keep records of the exact error, the channel displayed, the device and network used, and the time of your attempts; these details help support distinguish delivery failure from an account-security issue.
