To finish the Drunken Pig quest in Chapter 2, give the pig a Sobering Stone at Fright Cliff’s Rockrest Flat, bring him a Jade Lotus at Crouching Tiger Temple, then return and defeat the Yellow-Robed Squire. If the Squire will not attack, defeat the First Prince of Flowing Sands and obtain the Arhat Gold Piece first. Beating the Squire opens the gate to the optional Kingdom of Sahali.
Where to find the Drunken Pig
In Chapter 2’s Yellow Wind Ridge, travel to Fright Cliff—Rockrest Flat. Move into the open area just beyond the shrine and speak to the Drunken Pig. Exhaust his dialogue; he asks you to find a Sobering Stone.

How to get the Sobering Stone
There are two documented ways to obtain the stone. The Windrest Bridge route is a direct pickup; the merchant route requires finishing the Man in Stone quest and spending Will.
| Route | What to do | Requirement or cost |
|---|---|---|
| Breakable container | Travel to Yellow Wind Formation—Windrest Bridge. Cross the bridge, go left through the houses, then turn right into a courtyard. Break the golden glowing keg in the house in the left corner to collect the Sobering Stone. | No additional quest prerequisite or cost is stated in the walkthrough. |
| Man in Stone merchant | Complete the Man in Stone quest, return to the Man in Stone, and buy the Sobering Stone from him. | Gamer Guides lists the price as 6,480 Will. |
PowerPyx describes the Windrest Bridge container pickup, while Gamer Guides also describes the merchant purchase. The guides do not establish that either method is exclusive.

Give the pig the stone at Rockrest Flat
- Return to Fright Cliff—Rockrest Flat and speak to the Drunken Pig.
- Give him the Sobering Stone, then keep talking until his dialogue repeats.
Bring one Jade Lotus to Crouching Tiger Temple
- Travel to Crouching Tiger Temple—Temple Entrance.
- Go up the stairs and take the second path on the right to find the pig.
- Give him one Jade Lotus and exhaust his dialogue.
PowerPyx notes that a Jade Lotus can be bought from the shrine shop. Gamer Guides also points to the pond opposite the Valley of Despair shrine as a place to gather one if you do not have it.
Return to the Squire and resolve the hostility condition
Go back to the pig’s original location near Rockrest Flat. The Yellow-Robed Squire is there, but he may not immediately become hostile. If he does not challenge you, defeat the First Prince of Flowing Sands in the Valley of Despair cave and obtain the Arhat Gold Piece, then return to the Squire. Gamer Guides identifies possession of that item as the condition that makes him challenge you; PowerPyx also notes the First Prince prerequisite when the Squire is not hostile.

Defeat the Yellow-Robed Squire and enter Kingdom of Sahali
Defeat the Yellow-Robed Squire, then use the large gate beside the fight area. It leads to Kingdom of Sahali, the optional Chapter 2 secret area. The Squire is not the source of the Wind Tamer: PowerPyx places that vessel later in the secret area, after its subsequent bosses. Gamer Guides associates completing this route with the Gleams of Gold achievement.
Guide advice for the Squire fight
Gamer Guides recommends using Immobilize and Cloud Step to create openings, keeping distance from dangerous attacks, staying mobile, and limiting attack windows to a few hits before repositioning. These are guide recommendations, not a guarantee of a particular outcome.
