Black Myth: Wukong’s September 23, 2024 update is version 1.0.9.15179. Game Science’s patch notes list crash and achievement fixes, combat and item adjustments, and localization corrections. The announcement reports a download of about 1.7 GB and says the update process may need around 92 GB of temporary free space.
What changed in version 1.0.9.15179?
Game Science announced the patch on September 23, 2024, at 16:00 UTC+8. The official Steam patch notes group the changes across stability, encounters, combat, items, and presentation.

Stability, system checks, and achievements
- Fixed occasional crashes during certain PC boss fights when Windows was set to Turkish, along with other crashes and errors under specific conditions.
- Added detection and an update prompt for operating-system and graphics-driver versions.
- Fixed a condition that could prevent players from reaching 100% achievement completion.
Bosses and enemy behavior
- Addressed cases where players could be thrown outside invisible walls during some boss fights.
- Fixed issues that could leave enemies stuck or undefeatable, and cases where enemy skills failed after the player opened the menu.
- Improved the combat experience against the Yaoguai King Hundred-Eyed Daoist Master.
Combat, equipment, and items
- The Spikeshaft Staff now increases maximum mana by 30.
- The Insect armor set considerably extends medicine-effect duration.
- The notes describe an adjustment to the effect of Rock Solid’s deflection timing window.
- Fine Gold Thread can be purchased from Yin Tiger after entering a new cycle.
- Fixed possible Tadpole and Bodhisattva’s Left Hand drop issues. Players who had already defeated the relevant bosses but missed the items were to receive them in their inventory.
Localization and presentation
The update corrects translation, portrait, subtitle, lyric, and English voiceover errors.
Download size and temporary storage
Game Science lists the download as approximately 1.7 GB. The developer also says the platform’s update mechanism may require around 92 GB of temporary free disk space, which does not have to be on the same disk as the game. These are figures for this particular patch, not a general storage requirement for future updates.

Before installing: mods and troubleshooting
Game Science warns that installed mods may cause compatibility problems, launch issues, or in-game error pop-ups after the update. Its recommendation is to remove mods and verify the game files’ integrity before restarting.
