Infected was already live when Call of Duty announced it; classic Nuketown was scheduled to arrive on November 1, 2024. Whether either is in the current playlist must be checked in-game or against a current official update.
When did Nuketown and Infected come to Black Ops 6?
Call of Duty announced both additions in its October 29, 2024 post, “New Updates Bring Infected and Classic Nuketown to Call of Duty: Black Ops 6”. The post was about the first week after launch: Infected was live at the time of publication, while classic Nuketown was scheduled for November 1, 2024.
That announcement does not establish that either item is available in the live playlist now. The Black Ops 6 blog index includes later updates, including Season 06 materials from 2025, but does not confirm an October 2026 rotation. A September 2026 Haunting announcement is for Black Ops 7 and Warzone, not Black Ops 6. Check the in-game playlist or a dated Black Ops 6 playlist notice for current availability.
How does Infected work?
One player is randomly selected to start as infected. Infected players try to eliminate the survivors; each survivor eliminated joins the infected team. The survivors’ objective is to stay alive until the match timer runs out.

What is classic Nuketown in Black Ops 6?
Call of Duty described the map scheduled for November 1, 2024 as the original 1950s Nuketown from the first Black Ops, updated graphically while retaining its original design and layout. The announcement established the planned arrival date; it does not confirm the map’s present playlist status.

Where can you check platform and edition details?
For setup and edition information, consult Activision’s Black Ops 6 Support page. Its online-services information lists PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Battle.net. Check the current regional and edition details for your platform rather than assuming every edition or storefront has the same availability.
