Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 01 Reloaded launched on December 5, 2024, at 9 a.m. PT across all platforms. The mid-season update brought the Citadelle des Morts Zombies map, three new weapons, holiday-themed CODMAS modes, Multiplayer additions and Warzone Battle Royale Ranked Play.
When did Black Ops 6 Season 1 Reloaded release?
Season 01 Reloaded arrived Thursday, December 5, 2024, at 9 a.m. PT. Call of Duty Staff announced the date on December 3, 2024, describing the update as covering Black Ops 6 and Warzone. The release date is historical, not an upcoming launch. Read the official announcement.
Reloaded was presented as a mid-season update, not a separate boxed expansion. Players needed the base game, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, to play its Black Ops 6 content; current store availability and offers can vary by platform and region.
What new guns and weapons did Reloaded add?
The update featured three headline weapons, as listed by Call of Duty Staff:

- Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower.
- This is signature Black Ops across a cinematic single-player Campaign, a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, and the epic return of Round-Based Zombies.
- The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
- In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
- Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
- Maelstrom: A shotgun earned as the Merry Mayhem event mastery reward.
- AMR Mod 4: A sniper rifle earned through Archie’s Festival Frenzy.
- Cleaver: A new melee weapon.
It also added burst-fire conversion attachments for the XM4 and Kompakt 92. These mods change each weapon’s primary fire mode rather than introducing separate weapons.

CODMAS brought holiday-themed maps and limited-time modes to Multiplayer and Warzone. The announced offerings included:

The 2024–25 event schedule listed Merry Mayhem for December 5–19, followed by Archie’s Festival Frenzy from December 19 to January 3. Those dates describe the original event schedule, not future availability.

Zombies: Citadelle des Morts and new tools
Citadelle des Morts was the update’s new Zombies map. Other announced additions included four elemental Wonder Weapons, the Vulture Aid Perk-a-Cola, Light Mend Ammo Mod, Tesla Storm Field Upgrade, GobbleGums and a craftable Hand Cannon support weapon. The update also included Jingle Hells and a Zombies Training Course.

Multiplayer: maps, modes and loadout options
Multiplayer added Hacienda and Racket, as well as the holiday version of Nuketown. Shrapnel Radar and the High Roller wildcard were among its gameplay additions, alongside the CODMAS limited-time modes.
Warzone: Ranked Play access
The announcement said access to Battle Royale Ranked Play required a Top 15 placement in Battle Royale or a Top 6 placement in Resurgence across 30 matches. Season 01 placements counted toward that requirement. Warzone also received the Reflexes perk and CODMAS modes.
