The official Terminus bestiary describes examples rather than a complete roster, so this is a guide to the core types confirmed by the official material—not a guarantee of every enemy on every map or in every update.
Core Black Ops 6 Zombies enemies and how to counter them

What armor changes
Armored and Heavy Zombies are not simply tougher names for the same target. The official Terminus bestiary says armor reduces projectile and explosive damage, and describes Heavy Zombies as more heavily protected still. Against an armored target, commit to focused fire rather than spreading shots across the crowd; the bestiary notes that concentrating on a particular appendage may be effective. It does not establish a universal time-to-kill or exact damage value.

How elemental damage fits into a fight
The official Treyarch overview describes five broad elemental damage effects: Frost can slow or freeze, Fire can deliver burst damage and damage over time, Electric can stun and deal area damage, Toxic can corrupt and mind-control, and Shadow uses gravity and associated damage. Named sources include Cryo Freeze, Napalm Burst and Molotovs, Dead Wire, Brain Rot, and Dark Flare, Shadow Rift, and the LT53 Kazimir.
Those descriptions explain what the effects generally do; they do not pair a particular element with a specific enemy as a verified weakness. Use an element for its documented control or damage effect, but do not assume that, for example, one special enemy has a confirmed elemental vulnerability unless a later official source establishes it.

What the official patch history says about tuning
Call of Duty’s Season 01 notes, dated November 25, 2024, documented reduced Mangler spawns at mid-to-high rounds, an active-Mangler cap that ramps up until Round 100, and reduced arm-cannon health. The same notes documented Parasite damage scaling between Rounds 31–91. These are dated balance changes, not a statement of exact live tuning in 2026; later updates may have changed enemy behavior or values.
The August 8, 2024 official Terminus overview also cautioned that content was subject to change during launch-era final refinements. That notice is useful context for the launch material, but it is not a current patch note. Official guides published for later maps, including Reckoning, do not by themselves provide a single consolidated bestiary for every map and update.
