The notes also include separate September 30 and September 24 entries, so those changes should not be confused with the October 7 update.
What changed in the October 7 Black Ops 7 patch?
Treyarch says it addressed an issue in Zombies where using the XM325 with the Titan Wield stock and Mule Kick with the Pack Mule Augment could empty the left weapon’s ammunition and leave that weapon unusable. This is a fix for a particular ammunition and usability problem.

The October 7 note does not report changes to the XM325’s damage, fire rate, recoil, or other weapon balance statistics. It should not be described as a buff or nerf.
How the recent patch-note entries differ
The official notes group changes under different dates and modes. The September entries are not October 7 changes.

Does the update change weapon balance?
No balance tuning is listed in the October 7 entry. In the Season 06 patch notes, Treyarch said: “Weapon tuning will be coming a short time after the launch of Season 06, to allow time for the team to observe where the newest weapons land in the meta.” That describes the team’s planned timing; it does not establish that the October 7 patch changed weapon balance.
The Season 06 overview identifies the VMP (SMG) and TR51 Para (assault rifle) as Battle Pass weapons, and the Arcblade (melee) and Roc 20mm (special weapon) as event-reward weapons. Those are official weapon summaries, not independent performance evaluations.

Where to check update-related problems
Activision’s Known Issues page, dated September 25, 2026, recommends quitting and restarting the game if a COD Points balance appears as zero after downloading updates; it notes that a restart may need to be repeated. For Xbox-on-PC 0x errors, the page recommends repairing the game application and reinstalling it if the error persists. These are general support recommendations, not fixes introduced by the October 7 patch.
The reviewed notes do not state a download size, platform-by-platform rollout schedule, or live server status. Activision’s support page identifies PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S platform services.
