When did Black Ops 7 Season 1 launch?
Activision announced that Season 01 would go live Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 9 a.m. Pacific Time across platforms. The announcement described a mix of free and premium content, including new weapons, attachments, camouflage, equipment, challenges, events and a Battle Pass. Activision’s Season 01 announcement is dated November 24, 2025.

The season was presented in launch, mid-season and in-season phases. The announcement’s phase labels describe the planned schedule; they do not, by themselves, confirm the exact day each item became available. Season 01 had ended by October 2026, but the cited announcement does not establish its exact end date.
Which new Black Ops 7 multiplayer maps were in Season 1?
Season 01’s map list included new maps, a remaster, and a holiday variant. The distinction matters: not every map shown on the season hub was a new Season 01 addition.

Activision’s map descriptions and phase labels identify Fate and Odysseus as launch maps, Yakei and Meltdown as mid-season entries, and Sleighjacked as in-season content. Nuketown 2025 also appeared on the season hub, but Activision described it as having released during preseason, shortly after the game launched.
Other multiplayer additions
Takeover was announced for mid-season. It is a three-zone objective mode combining elements of Hardpoint and Domination. The announcement also listed holiday limited-time modes including Holiday Havoc and Snowfight, the Deadeye Drone Scorestreak, and returning Black Ops 6 loadout equipment for mid-season.

What Zombies content did Season 1 add?
Astra Malorum: the new round-based map
Astra Malorum was the flagship new Zombies map at launch: a round-based story experience set in a mysterious observatory tied to an evil presence in the Dark Aether. Its announced additions included O.S.C.A.R., a sentinel/Elite robot, and the LGM-1 Wonder Weapon, alongside traps and quest rewards. Activision said the Main Quest would go live with the map on December 4, 2025; rewards included Calling Cards and XP.
The map also had a Cursed experience, described as having no guidance, a limited HUD and loadout, and a Black Ops 3-inspired points system. After completing the main quest, players could seek out six Relics. Directed mode for Astra Malorum was marked for mid-season. Activision’s Zombies overview provides the announced map and mode details.

Exit 115 launched as a Survival map at Reba’s Diner, an isolated location from Ashes of the Damned. The announcement listed milestone rewards at rounds 10, 25 and 50, including an emblem, charm, Ultra GobbleGum and XP.
Zarya Cosmodrome was announced as a mid-season Survival map based on a location from Ashes of the Damned. Activision said players would earn more rewards by surviving more rounds.

Directed mode and other Zombies additions
Season 01 brought Directed mode to Ashes of the Damned as a guided Main Quest experience, with a round cap of 15 in the announcement. Other additions included the returning Mule Kick perk, new Pack-a-Punch camouflage, traps and further augment and equipment details in the official guide.
In a January 15, 2026 retrospective, Treyarch said players were spending “around 40% of their Zombies time in Survival” and reported that two round-based maps and three Survival maps had been delivered by that date. Those are studio-reported figures specific to that date, not a current measure. Treyarch also called Astra Malorum “the first of five Round-Based Zombies maps we’re planning throughout our post-launch seasons.” That statement records a plan made on January 15, 2026; it does not establish that all five maps were subsequently released. Treyarch’s 115 Day post contains the retrospective and roadmap statement.

What did Season 1 Reloaded include?
Activision’s Season 01 Reloaded post, published January 7, 2026, covered the mid-season phase across game modes. It discussed Astra Malorum, Exit 115, the planned Zarya Cosmodrome Survival map, Takeover and other event content. The date confirms that Reloaded content followed the December launch, but the post’s publication date should not be treated as proof that every item became playable that same day. What else was part of Season 01?
The season announcement also covered Endgame and Warzone, which are separate from Black Ops 7 Multiplayer map additions. Endgame became accessible to all Black Ops 7 players on November 21, 2025, before Season 01 launched. Season content included eight Exotic Skills, a Phantom Skill Track marked for mid-season, and World Events.
For Warzone, Activision highlighted Haven’s Hollow as a new Resurgence map and Signal Station and Factory as Verdansk points of interest. The broader Warzone plan also covered modes and playlists, weapons, attachments, events, weekly challenges, Battle Pass and BlackCell content, Operators and bundles. These are Warzone additions, not Black Ops 7 Multiplayer maps. The Season 01 announcement details the planned content.
