Its multiplayer additions include three maps for 6v6 playlists and a separate map for Face Off Moshpit, alongside new weapons, attachments, focused tuning changes and fixes across several modes. This is a historical Season 01 changelog, not the latest seasonal update; the official Call of Duty blog index lists later patch notes too.
Season 01 multiplayer maps: where each one is available
The Season 01 patch notes distinguish the three maps added to all 6v6 playlists from the smaller-scale map added specifically to Face Off Moshpit.

The notes also describe map-layout changes: Exposure gained a path and interior connecting the Loading spawn area with Solar Panels and Salt Storage, while Toshin gained a hanging monorail linking the middle Monorail section to upper Station. These are changes to existing maps, not entries in the new-map list.
Not every map highlighted for Season 01 is a multiplayer map. The season announcement identifies Astra Malorum as a Round-Based Zombies map, Exit 115 as a Zombies Survival map, and Haven’s Hollow as a Warzone Resurgence map. See the official Season 01 announcement for that broader mode overview.

New weapons and attachments: what the notes say about availability
The Multiplayer notes list two new event-reward weapons. Their descriptions indicate different trade-offs, and the notes characterize them as seasonal content rather than establishing that every reward was available at launch.

Season 01 also adds weapon attachments, including the Coda 9 Adaptive Discharge Mod and M8A1 Autostrike-X8 Conversion. Their unlock routes and timing are specified in the corresponding sections of the official Season 01 patch notes. Check those entries for the exact route; the notes’ in-season wording means these rewards should not automatically be treated as launch-day unlocks. The season announcement gives December 4, 2025 as the launch date, but that date alone does not establish when each event reward became available.

Weapon tuning: penetration changes and the scope of the balance pass
The notes change how bullet penetration damage is described and applied. Penetration distance and damage falloff are decoupled: a successful penetration incurs a flat percentage damage falloff regardless of the thickness penetrated. FMJ increases penetration distance while reducing that falloff.
The publisher describes the attachment adjustments in this section as “very focused” and “not intended as a comprehensive balancing pass.” The notes also recorded a plan to issue a larger weapon-balance patch after the first couple of weeks of Season 01, once feedback and data had been gathered on the first batch of new weapons and attachments. That was the publisher’s plan at the time of the Season 01 notes, not a statement about the present-day weapon meta or a current forecast.

Bug fixes and mode-specific changes
Season 01’s fixes are distributed across mode-specific sections rather than presented as one universal list. The examples below show the kinds of issues addressed; consult the linked changelog for the full item-by-item record.
- Multiplayer: fixes include Overload respawn and score-feed issues, Skirmish objective and UI problems, and scorestreak and interface corrections.
- Zombies: fixes cover collision and out-of-bounds problems, quest progression, and other map-specific issues.
- Dead Ops Arcade: the notes mention general stability work, improved save/load reliability, and resolved controller-input issues.
This is a dated Season 01 changelog, not a live tracker. Activision Support maintains a separate known-issues page for tracked problems and reporting guidance; its contents can change independently of the patch notes. For example, the captured page dated 09/25/26 listed an investigated PC login timeout issue, an Xbox-on-PC 0x error with repair steps, and directions for bug and PC crash reports. Check the support page itself for current status.
