Blade & Sorcery: Nomad’s Khar-Tib Update 1.3 arrived on July 6, 2026, bringing a new Kharese arsenal and armor, spell bombs, a hostile faction and a fortress map. Warpfrog describes it as the third of four free Byeth Updates, and says it rolled out for both Nomad and PCVR. The developer’s announcements do not establish that it is objectively the series’ “biggest” update.
What is the Khar-Tib Update?
Khar-Tib is Update 1.3 for Blade & Sorcery, released July 6, 2026. Warpfrog’s announcement calls it “number 3 of 4 in the series of free Byeth Updates.” The studio describes the release as adding canonical lore content from the desert nation east of Eraden, alongside new gameplay features. Warpfrog’s official Steam announcements and its news listing identify the update and its place in the series.
Although the headline phrase “biggest update yet” may capture the scale of the additions, Warpfrog’s cited materials do not compare content counts or rank this release against earlier updates. It is more accurate to treat “biggest” as an unverified description, not an official or measured distinction.
What does Update 1.3 add?
Kharese weapons and armor
The update introduces a Kharese-themed weapon collection, including a double-headed axe, scimitar, khopesh-inspired blade, dual-bladed dagger and staff, war-scythe-inspired weapon, spiked shield and automatic crossbow. It also adds a retractable wrist blade feature and a Kharese armor set.

Spell bombs and a new enemy faction
Three spell bombs bring fire, lightning and gravity effects into combat. Khar-Tib enemies form a new faction, giving players opponents tied to the update’s setting.
Kharese Fortress and returning Town Square
The Kharese Fortress is a new map with interactable ballistae and traps, plus opportunities for climbing and parkour. A daytime version of Town Square also returns. These additions give the update a mix of new combat equipment, traversal possibilities and environmental interactions rather than weapons alone.

What changed in the later 1.3.1 patch?
Warpfrog announced Khar-Tib 1.3.1 on July 28, 2026, after the initial release. The patch added a force-impact mechanic: certain heavy weapons and ballista bolts can stagger enemies even when they block with a shield. The patch notes also list bug fixes and optimizations. Is the update available on Quest?
Yes. Warpfrog announced the July 6 rollout for both PCVR and Blade & Sorcery: Nomad. Nomad is the standalone sister title, and the studio’s Nomad page describes it as built specifically for Oculus Quest 2, with physics-based VR interactions, arena battles, magic, climbing and modding support. That cited platform description names Quest 2; it does not establish support on later Quest models.
