Bless is a concentration spell that helps up to three creatures land attacks and resist harmful effects. For ten turns, each target adds 1d4 to attack rolls and saving throws. The bonus does not increase damage directly.
What does Bless do in Baldur’s Gate 3?
Bless adds 1d4 to each affected creature’s attack rolls and saving throws. That can improve the chance of hitting with attacks and succeeding on saving throws, but it does not add damage to a successful hit. The BG3 spell reference lists the effect as applying to both kinds of rolls.
How many creatures can it affect, and how long does it last?
A standard cast affects up to three creatures within 9 metres (30 feet) and lasts ten turns. Casting it takes an action and uses a level-one spell slot. The spell reference gives the range, duration, and casting requirements.
Using a higher-level spell slot
Each spell-slot level above level one adds one target, according to the BG3 spell reference. This can let the spell cover more of the party when several allies are likely to benefit.

Does Bless require concentration?
Yes. The caster must maintain concentration for Bless to remain active, and cannot maintain another concentration spell at the same time. Before casting, weigh the attack and saving-throw bonus against another concentration effect the caster could use. Bless is most useful when multiple affected allies are likely to make attacks or saving throws during its ten-turn duration.
Which classes can get Bless?
Clerics have Bless on their level-one spell list. Paladins can also access it, while Bards can learn it through Magical Secrets; those routes do not make the spell available at the same point in every class’s progression. The spell reference lists these class access routes.

Is the Water Queen’s House Bless the same spell?
No. In Act Three, placing an item in the Offering Chest by the fountain in the Water Queen’s House grants a separate temporary effect also called Bless. It is distinct from the castable combat spell. The Water Queen’s House Bless reference describes that location-based bonus.
