For the recommended class, you need a Core i7-11700K or Ryzen 7 5700X and a GeForce RTX 4060, Radeon RX 7600 XT or Intel Arc B580. Both configurations require Windows 10 with DirectX 12, 16 GB of RAM and a 60 GB SSD installation.
Those are developer targets, not a promise of a particular frame rate. No reproducible launch benchmark covering every resolution, preset and graphics card is available, and upscaling can materially change performance. Use the table and checks below to place your PC in the right hardware tier before buying.

Official Blood of Dawnwalker PC requirements
Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe lists the same memory, storage and operating-system requirements for both tiers. The meaningful difference is the processor and graphics-card class.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:

The figures come from the publisher’s 2026 specification table for the PC release. “Minimum” means your hardware is within the developer’s lowest listed configuration; it does not establish a guaranteed 30 or 60 frames per second. “Recommended” identifies the publisher’s preferred class, but it likewise is not a measured performance promise.
#1 Best Overall
- Day 1 Edition includes the Base Game Disc, Steelbook, and World Map.
- Make The Story Your Own - Experience and shape the plot the way you want. Embark on the quest to save your family, or swear revenge on your sire and destroy everyone standing in your way. Discover ancient secrets lurking in the valley. Rush in head first or risk taking time to prepare. Go alone or search for friends and forge unlikely alliances.
- Day And Night - Experience two different gameplay loops, offering distinct abilities to choose from, mysteries to uncover, and varying ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.
- Every Action Matters - Every action - and inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family’s days are numbered, and every time you take on a quest, time moves forward, compelling you closer to the end. Choose carefully whom to help and whom to leave behind. You will not have time for everyone. The world waits for no one. And neither does the villain.
What the game is and why the requirements are substantial
The Blood of Dawnwalker launched on September 3, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. It is an open-world dark-fantasy action RPG set in 14th-century Europe. You play Coen, human by day and vampire by night, and your choices shape the story as you try to save your family. The game is built with Unreal Engine 5, which helps explain why the target cards are newer than the older GTX 900-series and entry-level Radeon hardware many players still use.
An open world can stream geometry, lighting, animation and character data while you move through it. That workload is shared between the CPU, GPU, system memory and storage, so checking only one part—usually the graphics card—can produce a misleading answer.
How to check your own PC against the table
- Identify Windows and DirectX. Press
Win+R, enterdxdiag, and check the System tab. Confirm that you are running Windows 10 or a later Windows version with DirectX 12. The game’s listed operating-system target is Windows 10; newer Windows editions still need compatible graphics drivers. - Record the processor model. In Windows, open Settings → System → About and read “Processor.” Compare the complete model, not just the brand or clock speed. An i5 from a much older generation is not equivalent to an i5-11400F.
- Check the graphics card. Open Task Manager with
Ctrl+Shift+Esc, choose Performance, then GPU. Write down the exact model and the dedicated video-memory figure. Desktop and laptop versions carrying the same name can perform differently. - Confirm installed memory. In Task Manager → Performance → Memory, verify that the system has at least 16 GB. Capacity is separate from speed; a fast 8 GB kit still falls short of the listed capacity.
- Verify the installation drive. In File Explorer, right-click the drive where you intend to install the game and choose Properties. It must be an SSD with at least 60 GB available for the stated installation. Keep additional free space for Windows, shader caches and updates so an almost-full drive does not become the limiting factor.
If any one of these checks is below the minimum row, the machine is outside the published PC specification even if another component is much faster.
Minimum tier: what a GTX 1060 or RX 580 class PC means
Graphics card
The GeForce GTX 1060 and Radeon RX 580 define the lowest listed GPU class. A card below that level is not covered by the official requirements. Cards with more video memory are not automatically faster: architecture, driver support and raw shader performance also matter. A newer low-end card may land near this tier, but its exact result cannot be inferred from the name alone.

- Day and Night - Experience two different gameplay loops with different abilities to choose from, secrets to uncover, and different ways to achieve your goals. Experiment with different approaches and discover how the world reacts to your actions.
- Every action counts - every action - and every inaction - shapes the world around you. Your family's days are numbered, and every time you take a quest, time progresses and brings you closer to the end. Choose carefully who you help and who you leave behind. You won't have time for all. The world is waiting for no one. And neither does evil.
- Sword, claws and anger - Defy gravity, become a brutal force of nature and use your supernatural abilities as a vampire. Or raise your sword and use powerful magic to take on your opponents as a human being. Experiment and adapt as your shape changes throughout the day and night; each has its own strengths and weaknesses.
- Open world full of adventure - venture through the handmade open world and discover everything it has to offer. Stroll through the lush forests, the vast plains, the treacherous swamps and explore the steep mountain peaks and medieval settlements. Explore forgotten ruins, find remains of an ancient civilization, and uncover a truth that might have preferred to remain hidden.
Processor
The Core i5-11400F and Ryzen 7 2700X are the minimum CPU references. They represent different designs—Intel’s six-core processor and AMD’s older eight-core model—so comparing only core count is not useful. Check the exact model and ensure the system is not throttling because of high temperatures or a power-saving laptop profile.
Likely experience
The minimum row establishes eligibility, not a preset or frame-rate target. Resolution, effects quality, crowd density, world-streaming behavior and the chosen upscaler will all affect smoothness. If your machine only just reaches this tier, start with a conservative preset, update the GPU driver, and test an upscaling mode before increasing visual settings.
Recommended tier: what an RTX 4060, RX 7600 XT or Arc B580 class PC means
Graphics cards
The recommended list includes the GeForce RTX 4060, Radeon RX 7600 XT and Intel Arc B580. These are the publisher’s reference points for a stronger modern gaming PC, not interchangeable guarantees. Their performance can diverge by game setting, driver version and whether the renderer uses native resolution or an upscaler.
Processor
The Core i7-11700K and Ryzen 7 5700X are the recommended CPU references. A processor with a newer generation may be suitable even if its name differs, but compare independent performance characteristics rather than assuming that a higher product number always wins. Background applications, thermal limits and laptop power caps can reduce headroom.

What “recommended” does not tell you
The table does not state a target resolution, graphics preset, ray-tracing setting or frame rate. It therefore cannot support a blanket claim that every recommended PC will deliver 60 FPS. Treat it as a sensible hardware class for starting configuration, then adjust settings to your display and tolerance for frame-time spikes.
Will a GTX 1060 run Blood of Dawnwalker?
A GTX 1060 is explicitly included in the minimum GPU requirement, so a correctly configured system with the minimum-class processor, 16 GB of RAM, Windows 10/DirectX 12 and an SSD meets the published specification. That inclusion does not guarantee a specific frame rate, resolution or quality preset. If performance is poor, reduce the heaviest settings first and try an upscaler rather than assuming the card is defective.
Check whether your card is the 3 GB or 6 GB GTX 1060 variant and monitor video-memory use in-game. The requirement names the GPU family, not a guaranteed result for every memory configuration. Laptop GTX 1060 models also have different power limits from desktop cards.
Will an RTX 4060 run Blood of Dawnwalker?
The RTX 4060 appears in the recommended GPU list, placing it in the publisher’s recommended class when paired with the corresponding CPU tier and the other requirements. It should give you more graphics headroom than a minimum-class card, but the available information does not establish a universal 60-FPS result. Native rendering and upscaling are separate cases: an RTX 4060 running at native resolution has a different workload from one using DLSS.

DLSS, FSR, XeSS and the native-resolution question
PC Gamer reported support for DLSS and FSR upscalers and noted that the final requirement presentation used Balanced upscaling. Upscaling renders internally at a lower resolution and reconstructs the output, reducing GPU workload at the cost of a possible change in image quality. Balanced is neither the same as native rendering nor a guarantee that every card receives the same benefit.
Intel hardware may also expose XeSS depending on the game’s final implementation and driver support; the publisher’s requirement table names Arc B580 but does not provide a performance result for a particular upscaler. When comparing two PCs, record the resolution, preset, upscaler and mode. “Runs” is otherwise too vague to be a useful benchmark.

16 GB of RAM
Both published tiers specify 16 GB. That is a capacity requirement, not a statement that every 16 GB configuration behaves identically. Dual-channel memory, background programs and laptop memory sharing can affect available headroom. Close browsers, launchers and recording tools while troubleshooting stutter, but do not treat closing software as a substitute for the required capacity.
60 GB SSD
The installation target is a 60 GB solid-state drive in both tiers. An SSD reduces asset-loading latency compared with a hard disk, but the table does not specify a PCIe generation or a required sequential-speed rating. Make sure the selected drive has the full free capacity at installation time and enough room for patches; a nearly full SSD can also cause Windows and game updates to fail.

Windows 10 and DirectX 12
The listed operating-system/API combination is Windows 10 with DirectX 12. Install current graphics drivers supplied for your GPU, complete pending Windows updates, and confirm that the game is launching on the dedicated GPU rather than an integrated adapter. On a laptop, Windows graphics settings and the manufacturer’s performance mode can change which GPU is selected.
If your PC is below minimum
- Below 16 GB RAM: upgrade capacity before judging GPU performance. Insufficient memory can cause paging and severe hitching.
- Hard drive only: move the installation to an SSD that meets the stated space requirement.
- Below GTX 1060/RX 580 class: a graphics upgrade is the most direct way to enter the supported range, but check power supply connectors, case clearance and CPU balance first.
- Older CPU: a platform upgrade may require a new motherboard and memory, making a complete system replacement more practical.
- Unstable performance: remove overclocks temporarily, check temperatures, update drivers and verify game files before replacing hardware.
Do not lower every setting blindly. Test one change at a time, watch frame-time consistency, and keep notes about resolution and upscaling so you can reverse a change that harms image quality without improving smoothness.
PC versus console versions
The game is also available on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S from the September 3, 2026 launch. A console avoids the PC-specific questions about CPU model, GPU drivers, DirectX and storage layout, but it does not provide the same range of graphics settings or upgrade paths. Choose the PC version if you value adjustable resolution, upscaling and hardware upgrades; choose a console if you prefer a fixed platform and do not want to troubleshoot component compatibility.

A practical buying decision
- Already at minimum: buy only if you accept that settings and frame rate are unconfirmed and may require upscaling.
- Near recommended: identify the weaker component. Replacing a minimum-class GPU while retaining a much older CPU may leave streaming or simulation performance limited.
- At recommended: you are in the publisher’s preferred class, but configure the game for your monitor and verify real performance after installation.
- Far below minimum: compare the cost and complexity of a platform upgrade with the fixed hardware of the PS5 or Xbox Series X|S versions.
