What Update 1.1 adds
Draught of Mind Rebirth for skill respecialization
The Draught of Mind Rebirth will let players redistribute skill points during a playthrough. This is the patch’s most consequential build-management change: you can try a different skill configuration without abandoning your current save or committing the rest of the story to an early choice.
The announcement does not state how the draught is obtained, whether it is consumed on use, whether there is a cost or limit, or whether every skill point can be reclaimed. Those rules should be checked in the final in-game description and full patch notes when Update 1.1 launches.

Refined traversal and directional movement
Movement and directional changes are being refined. This is aimed at making traversal feel more predictable when Coen changes direction, navigates the world or transitions between movement states. Rebel Wolves has not published technical details such as turn-rate values, animation changes, controller dead-zone adjustments or a before-and-after performance target.

Targeting, camera and disengagement improvements
Combat usability improvements cover targeting and camera behavior, along with the ability to disengage from enemies. The announcement does not define whether disengagement is a dedicated button, a distance-based escape, a context action or a change to enemy pursuit rules. It also does not promise a specific lock-on mode or camera setting, so players should not assume that every targeting or camera complaint is resolved until the patch is available.
Directional animal petting
Animals will gain directional petting interactions. The wording indicates that the interaction changes based on the direction from which the player approaches or initiates it. No list of animals, locations, rewards or gameplay effects has been announced; this appears to be a world-interaction and immersion feature rather than a progression system.

Rebel Wolves says the update contains more than 1,100 additional improvements and fixes beyond the headline features. That is the developer’s aggregate figure, not a promise that every item is a major gameplay change. Until the detailed notes are published, the individual fixes, platforms affected and any performance or stability changes cannot be itemized reliably.
Is New Game Plus included?
New Game Plus is not confirmed for Update 1.1. It does not appear in the announced feature list, and the announcement thread distinguishes it from this patch. Players should not treat the respec item, the Draught of Mind Rebirth, or the wider polish pass as a New Game Plus mode.
