Gamer Robot’s official Dragon Update post is dated December 16, 2024; a community-maintained chronology separately lists Update 24’s release date as December 14, 2024. The rework introduced Eastern and Western Dragon variants, and the outcome for players who already owned Dragon depended on whether it was permanent or physical and how many copies they had stored.
When did the Dragon rework come out?
Gamer Robot published its official Dragon Update announcement on December 16, 2024. The Blox Fruits Wiki’s update chronology lists Update 24 as released on December 14, 2024. Those dates refer to different records, so they should not be treated as interchangeable: one is the developer post date, while the other is a secondary source’s release-date listing.
What changed in the Dragon Update?
The Dragon rework introduced Dragon Fruit (East) and Dragon Fruit (West). The official announcement also described two transformation options for permanent Dragon and Dragon and Chromatic skins. The update was broader than Dragon alone: Gamer Robot also listed the Gas Fruit, Blade and Diamond reworks, a new combat system and reworked guns, visual refreshes, PC and console ability HUD changes, island updates, Draco race progression, Dragon Dojo content, and a Prehistoric Island sea event.
The community-maintained Blox Fruits Wiki describes the rework as having two variants, a Hybrid Form, a basic M1 attack, and a renamed move set: Heatwave Cannon, Infernal Pincer, Scorching Downfall, Imperial Evolution, and Draconic Soar. Those details describe the reworked kit, not a promise that its balance or availability is unchanged today.

What happened to old Dragon fruits?
Gamer Robot’s Dragon Tokens notice, dated December 16, 2024, described different outcomes based on ownership type and stored copies. It said earlier Dragon owners would receive a reworked Dragon, including players who had already used their tokens. The notice distinguished permanent Dragon ownership from physical fruit copies, and also set separate rules for accounts with multiple Dragons.
