The best sword for you still depends on whether you grind, fight bosses, or play PvP—and how your build uses it.

Which sword is best for your activity?
An overall tier compresses different jobs into one label. A sword that helps clear groups may not be the best choice for a boss or a PvP combo. Compare the qualities that matter to the activity rather than treating a higher tier as a guarantee of better performance.

Why a high tier may not fit your build
Tier placement and rarity do not tell you whether a sword works with your stats or combat sequence. Consider the sword’s role alongside mastery and stat investment, your fruit and fighting style, and whether you can reliably land its moves and follow up. If you have little investment in sword stats, do not assume an SS placement alone makes that sword the right choice; compare its actual role in your build.

PvP advice can also age quickly. The consulted guide cautions that combo assumptions need to be retested after balance changes. The November 2025 list should therefore be read as a dated editorial snapshot, not proof of the current competitive meta.
Is the November 2025 list still complete?
No. TechWiser’s November 2025 article says it ranks 40 swords. A community sword index updated September 24, 2026 reports 42 and includes later additions Dog Blade and Fishing Trophy. What the list says about Dark Blade
TechWiser identifies Dark Blade as a game-pass sword and describes Triple Dark Blade as admin-exclusive.
