What “Work in progress” means in Bloxburg
A Bloxburg community history records “Work in progress” as a former main-menu message and says it was removed when the experience became free to play on June 15, 2024. See the Bloxburg history. The phrase by itself is therefore not evidence that the developers have posted a current outage notice.
Some Roblox search listings may still show older beta wording. Treat that wording cautiously rather than assuming it describes the live game. The available information does not establish exactly why a particular player sees a similar screen today.
Check whether Roblox is having a service issue
Start with the Roblox Status page. Roblox says an incident or maintenance can delay or prevent players from joining experiences. If an issue is reported, wait a short time and try again instead of repeatedly changing device or security settings. A normal status page does not establish that every experience or individual connection is working, but it makes a platform-wide incident less apparent.

What to try if Roblox Status looks normal
Work through these general Roblox troubleshooting steps in order. They may help with loading problems, but they are not a confirmed Bloxburg-specific fix for this screen.
- Close and relaunch Roblox. Exit the Roblox client or browser session, reopen it, and try joining Bloxburg again. If the problem persists, restart your device. Roblox lists rebooting among its desktop troubleshooting steps: General Desktop Roblox Issues.
- Check your connection. Roblox identifies slow or inconsistent internet as a possible reason an experience may load slowly or fail to load. If practical, test another stable network or use a wired connection on a device that supports it. Roblox’s connection troubleshooting guidance also covers wireless connection and browser-related checks.
- If you launch through a browser, check the browser setup. Use an up-to-date browser supported by Roblox, review its security settings, and temporarily remove extensions such as ad blockers if they may interfere with loading. Roblox lists browser settings and extensions among possible causes of connection problems. Re-enable extensions after testing if they were not the cause.
- Check desktop security settings. Confirm your firewall or security software allows Roblox to connect. Roblox’s desktop guidance also includes clearing temporary internet files and reinstalling Roblox for relevant desktop issues. Use those steps only when they fit your device and symptoms; do not leave security protections disabled.
- Try again and compare. Check whether other Roblox experiences load on the same device and network. If none load, that points toward a broader Roblox, connection, or client issue; if only Bloxburg fails, an experience-side issue remains possible. This comparison helps narrow the possibilities but does not prove the cause.
When to contact Roblox Support
If Bloxburg remains stuck after these checks, review the Roblox connection guidance and contact Roblox Support. Include the device and platform, how you launch Roblox, the exact text or error shown, when the issue began, and whether other Roblox experiences load. Those details help distinguish a service, connection, client, or experience-specific problem.
