If Blue Prince crashes, freezes, or will not load on PS5, work through these checks in order: restart the console, install updates, confirm the game finished downloading, and then try PlayStation’s remaining troubleshooting steps. They are general PS5 checks, not guaranteed fixes for this game. The sources reviewed do not establish a current Blue Prince-specific PS5 crash bug or a confirmed fix.
Before you start: identify the failure
Note whether Blue Prince closes to the PS5 home screen, freezes during play, hangs at startup or loading, or displays an error code. Record whether it fails at the same point each time and whether other games have similar problems. PlayStation asks players contacting support to give a detailed description and reproduction steps, so this information can help with a report too.
If an error code appears, use the PlayStation support page for that exact code. The database-rebuild guidance below is tied to particular startup or loading error-code pages; it is not an instruction for every crash.

Restart the PS5
Close the game and restart the console, then launch Blue Prince again. PlayStation includes restarting among its troubleshooting steps for application startup and loading problems.

Check for a Blue Prince update
Highlight Blue Prince on the PS5 home screen, press the Options button, and select Check for Update. Install an available update before testing again.

Check PS5 system software
Make sure the console’s system software is up to date. PlayStation recommends checking for system updates when a game freezes or crashes.

Confirm a digital download completed
If you own the digital version, open the game’s information and check Download Status. If the installation is still in progress, let it finish before troubleshooting further.

Test whether the existing save is involved
PlayStation recommends starting the game from the beginning without an existing save to check for possible save corruption. Protect your progress first: do not delete your main save or overwrite it as part of this test. If you cannot test without risking your current save, skip this step and contact support.

Reinstall the game
If the problem continues, PlayStation recommends deleting and reinstalling the game. For a digital copy, download it again from your library. For a disc copy, reinstall from the disc.

Rebuild the PS5 database for persistent startup or loading errors
For the specific PS5 startup or loading errors covered by PlayStation’s guidance, use Safe Mode and select Clear Cache and Rebuild Database > Rebuild Database. Follow PlayStation’s Safe Mode instructions for entering the menu. This is a targeted troubleshooting option, not a guaranteed solution to all crashes.

Check whether other games are affected
Try another game. If several games are crashing or failing to load, PlayStation says the issue may involve the console rather than one title. If only Blue Prince is affected, PlayStation recommends contacting the game’s publisher.

Send Raw Fury a useful report
Contact Raw Fury with the error code, what happens, the steps that reproduce the problem, and which troubleshooting checks you tried. Include a screenshot or video if available. Steam’s Blue Prince technical-support listing names Raw Fury and provides [email protected]; the listing does not confirm whether that address or intake process has changed for PS5 players.

What is known about Blue Prince crashes on PS5?
Raw Fury lists Blue Prince as a mystery, strategy, and puzzle game available on PS5. Its anniversary retrospective also describes a past PS5 save issue affecting players deeper into the game, saying the studio worked with Sony and released patches to address it. That account concerns save behavior; it does not establish that the save issue causes a current crash.
The reviewed sources do not establish a current PS5-specific crash cause, affected game version, or confirmed fix. Raw Fury also published a crash-related post asking affected players to try a Steam test branch and provide a Windows log. Those instructions apply to Steam on Windows, not PS5, so they are not a PS5 troubleshooting step.
