The long-term objective is to find the hidden 46th room in a manor described as having 45 rooms; a run can still pay off when you do not reach it.
How the daily loop works
Blue Prince is a first-person architectural adventure set in a manor whose floor plan changes each day. At a closed door, you choose one of three room options, shaping the route and spaces available in that run. The house resets at dawn, while knowledge gained during exploration can help you make better decisions on later days. Explore for more than the next doorway
It can be tempting to aim straight for the room or objective you currently have in mind. PC Gamer’s March 3, 2026 spoiler-free tips instead recommend collecting keys and gems and treating the work of filling out the house as a useful ongoing objective. Think about what a room might offer beyond immediate progress: an item, a clue, or knowledge that will matter when the manor resets. PC Gamer also suggests considering how a run might improve the next one—for example, by making a future room more useful or leaving an important key somewhere easier to find.
Check beyond the entrance hall
When it makes sense for your route, walk back through the entrance and investigate the grounds. PC Gamer recommends exploring outside the entrance hall, while noting that some areas are initially inaccessible. If you hit a barrier, record it as a question to revisit rather than assuming you have missed a required solution.

Search rooms carefully and use what you find
Small objects can blend into room scenery. A community beginner guide recommends checking around furniture and looking through drawers and shelves rather than relying on a quick glance. See the BluePrinceWiki beginner guide.
Pay attention to useful items as you find them. Xbox Wire’s primer names keys, shovels, compasses, and magnifying glasses as examples of tools that can help during exploration. The point is not to use every item immediately: notice what you have, what it might interact with, and whether it could be more useful on a later attempt.

Observe the manor as a connected puzzle
Look for patterns in how rooms, objects, and clues relate instead of treating every puzzle as an isolated lock. Blue Prince creator Tonda Ros described his preference for puzzles “integrated practically into the world,” where the player uncovers the logic behind how the world itself works. He also pointed to observation and logical assumptions as ways to solve them. The interview is available from Unity.
- Notice details that appear unusual, repeated, or out of place.
- Ask what a clue refers to and whether the answer may be elsewhere in the manor.
- When an interpretation seems plausible, keep track of what supports it so you can test it later.
Keep your own notes between runs
A community beginner guide says the game has no in-game journal and recommends recording safe codes, puzzle clues, room locations, and suspicious details externally. A paper notebook or a note-taking app both work; the useful feature is being able to find an observation again when the manor changes. The beginner guide’s note-taking advice supports either format.

Keep entries concrete and easy to scan. Separate confirmed information from guesses, and organize notes by room, puzzle, or question. For example, write down the clue as you saw it, where you found it, and what it might connect to—without turning an untested theory into a fact.
