There is no guaranteed path to the rumored Room 46: the layout changes, and the game rewards learning as much as reaching a particular destination.
How a day in Blue Prince works
In Blue Prince, you explore Mt. Holly, a manor with a shifting floor plan. When you reach a closed door, you choose which room appears beyond it. That decision affects both the route you can take and what you may encounter. The official game site describes the experience as exploration, strategy, and puzzles, with the mystery of the rumored Room 46 at its center.

The floor plan resets at dawn, so a route that worked on one day may not be available the next. Some permanent estate upgrades can persist between days, and items found in rooms can help you explore. Think of a run as both an attempt to make progress now and a chance to learn something useful for later.

Explore before committing to a route
Look over the rooms you enter and the doors available to you. Since you choose what room appears at each door, consider how a choice might connect to the path you are building, as well as what the room could offer. Room placement and door orientation matter as practical strategy considerations; they do not guarantee that a specific route will be possible.

Inspect rooms instead of waiting for prompts
Some useful objects may not be highlighted. Examine the space carefully and approach objects that look like tools, pickups, or points of interest rather than assuming the game will mark everything you can use. Pay attention to details that seem unusual, even if their purpose is not clear yet. This is spoiler-free practical guidance, not a promise that any particular object will appear in a particular room.
Let a run teach you something
Do not measure a day only by whether you reach a target. A run can still be worthwhile if it turns up a clue, reveals a room’s layout, or helps you prepare for a later attempt. Keeping that broader goal in mind can make an unpredictable draft feel like progress rather than a failed route.

Keep notes on clues and discoveries
A beginner guide updated in November 2025 says Blue Prince has no in-game journal and recommends recording details such as safe codes, puzzle clues, room locations, and suspicious observations. Use a paper notebook or a notes app—whichever makes it easy for you to capture and find information. Paper is optional, not a requirement; the guide does not establish that one format is better.
Make notes specific enough to recognize later. For example, record where you found a clue and what it seemed connected to, not just a fragment of text. Avoid assuming that a clue or room will appear in the same place on another day unless the game has established that for you.

Should you head straight for the Antechamber?
A direct northward route toward the Antechamber may sound efficient, but it is not a dependable beginner plan. PC Gamer’s spoiler-free tips, published March 3, 2026, caution that room orientation and locks can make a perfect route uncertain. Treat a northward push as one possible approach, not a route the game guarantees; adapt to the rooms and doors you actually draw.

The daily reset changes the floor plan, while the official site says some permanent estate upgrades can remain. That distinction is useful when deciding whether to keep exploring: a changed route does not necessarily mean every kind of progress has been erased.

Blue Prince was released on April 10, 2025. PlayStation lists manual saving as an accessibility feature for the PS5 edition; that is a platform-specific listing, not a claim about every version. Steam identifies Dogubomb as developer and Raw Fury as publisher. Its community page lists Patch 1.7.3 dated September 16; check Steam’s current listing for the latest patch status rather than treating that version as permanent.
