What the May 2026 report said
The headline-matching Game Center report, published May 29, 2026, described a DDoS attack affecting access to Arma Reforger and DayZ servers. It said the server difficulties had persisted for about a week. The report is the available basis for those details; its underlying page could not be retrieved directly for independent confirmation.
The report said Bohemia Interactive acknowledged players’ frustration but would not disclose details about the incident or its response. It characterized the studio as focused on finding solutions and appreciative of players’ patience. It reproduced this company-attributed statement: “So if we’re more silent than you might want us to be, it’s because we’re focusing on solutions, not explanations. And we are making progress.” The quote is attributed to Bohemia Interactive in the report, not to a named individual, and the original official post was not independently located.
What “making progress” did—and did not—mean
“Making progress” was Bohemia Interactive’s reported description of its efforts at that moment. It was not confirmation that service had been restored, a timetable for recovery, or a guarantee that players could connect. The report also did not provide a verified technical explanation of the attack or its effects beyond the reported server-access problems.

What is known about the alleged attackers
The Game Center article named Xiangjang_zhi as the group behind the attack and recounted changing claims about motive and a purported ransom demand. Those claims were not independently substantiated by the available reporting. They should be treated as allegations attributed to that article, not established facts about who was responsible or why.
Is Arma or DayZ online now?
The May 2026 report cannot answer the games’ present-day availability. No current official status notice was located in the available material, so it would be inaccurate to describe the attack as continuing now—or to claim it has ended—on that basis. Players seeking a current answer should check Bohemia Interactive’s official announcements or service-status communications.
