Shattered Station has three tracked pickups: Secret 1, one Purity Seal, and Secret 2. The first Secret is in a blood-stained trench behind the first weapon room, the Purity Seal is behind a cracked wall in the room after the weapon chamber, and the second Secret is behind the Red Sigma door. For the final one, shoot the high wall switch and take the green weapon enhancement from the compartment that drops below it.
This route also covers the green-console progression, the remote switch across the broken gap, the red key and red-symbol door, the Purge encounter, and the Thunderhawk extraction trigger. Because the campaign map has mutually exclusive operations, later rooms can differ if you select another branch.

Shattered Station at a glance
Shattered Station is described as the first proper level of Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2. The level tracks exactly three collectibles: two Secrets and one Purity Seal. A complete run therefore needs three confirmation messages, not a larger hidden total.

The rewards are attached to the pickup events. Merely entering the correct room does not complete a Secret: the wreath, Seal, or green enhancement must be collected and the corresponding message must appear.

Before you commit to this route
The deployment map can send the campaign through paired operations that exclude each other. The walkthrough below follows the route documented with Nurgle Nightmare on Novoza, Frozen Terror on Amara Mors, and Forged in Battle on Erythine. If you choose the alternative operation in a pair, the subsequent rooms and landmarks will not necessarily match this sequence. The Shattered Station collectible order itself remains the useful reference: trench, cracked wall, then Red Sigma room.
How to progress through Shattered Station
1. Use the first green console
At the opening door, activate the green console beside it. This starts the route through the damaged corridor. Move forward, deal with the cultists, and continue until the broken section requires a jump.
2. Cross the broken section and use the remote switch
After the jump, watch for the Servitor to indicate a switch across the gap. Aim at that remote control and shoot it. The switch is deliberately placed across the break, so walking around the near side will not activate it. Once it responds, continue through the opened route rather than returning to the starting door.

3. Reach the first weapon room and turn around for Secret 1
The doorway to the altar chamber marks the area where the first Boltgun is obtained. Do not push straight onward as soon as you reach it. Stop at the doorway and turn back. On the left, beside the rock wall, is a blood-stained trench. Follow the trench to its end and walk into the floating golden laurel wreath.

The game should display “SECRET DISCOVERED.” That message is the reliable completion check for Secret 1/2. The wreath grants +50 Faith. If you see the altar chamber but no trench, reorient at the doorway itself; the landmark is behind you, not beyond the weapon pickup.
4. Take the Boltgun and open the courtyard exit
Collect the first Boltgun, then activate the green terminal to open the courtyard exit. The weapon is also required for the cracked-wall interaction, so do not leave this area without it.
5. Clear the courtyard and open the cracked wall
Defeat the Autogun Cultists in the courtyard. Enter the small room opposite them and face the rear wall. A cracked panel marks the hidden alcove. Shoot that panel with the Boltgun; the wall opens to reveal a recess. Walk inside and collect the floating Purity Seal.
Completion is confirmed by “YOU DISCOVERED A PURITY SEAL!” The pickup grants +50 Boltgun ammo. If the wall does not open, check that you are shooting the visibly cracked rear panel in the small room opposite the courtyard enemies, rather than an intact section of the surrounding structure.

6. Find the red key in the lower recess
Continue through the level after the Purity Seal. The main route leads to a lower recess containing the red key, also referred to by the matching door’s Red Sigma designation. Take the key before trying to open the red-symbol door; the door console will not substitute for the key.
7. Open the Red Sigma door and claim Secret 2
Return to the matching Red Sigma door and activate the red key console. Inside, look high on the wall for a small glowing square switch. Shoot it. The panel below the switch lowers and exposes a compartment at floor level.
Check below the switch after firing: the opening is beneath it, not beside it or at eye level. Collect the glowing green weapon enhancement from the lowered compartment. The second “SECRET DISCOVERED” confirmation appears when you pick it up.

With the red key used and the Red Sigma room searched, operate its control and proceed into the Purge encounter. Clear the encounter before looking for the next panel; the objective advances through the combat event rather than by simply standing in the doorway.

9. Trigger the late-level route after the Chaos Terminator
After the later Chaos Terminator encounter, activate the green panel. This exposes the platform needed for extraction. Return to that platform instead of searching the earlier courtyard for another exit.
10. Board the Thunderhawk and finish the mission
Wait for the Thunderhawk’s rear ramp to open. Walk up the ramp and enter the transport, then use the glowing exit inside. Entering the aircraft is not the final input: the glowing exit is the interaction that completes extraction.
Collectible route as a no-miss checklist
- Secret 1/2: At the altar-chamber doorway, turn back, take the left-side blood-stained trench, and touch the golden laurel wreath. Confirm “SECRET DISCOVERED.”
- Purity Seal 1/1: After obtaining the Boltgun and opening the courtyard exit, clear the Autogun Cultists, enter the opposite small room, shoot the cracked rear panel, and collect the Seal in the alcove. Confirm “YOU DISCOVERED A PURITY SEAL!”
- Secret 2/2: Take the Red Sigma key, return to its door, activate the red console, shoot the high glowing square, and collect the green weapon enhancement from the lowered compartment below it. Confirm “SECRET DISCOVERED.”
If all three confirmations have appeared, the level’s tracked collectible count is complete. There is no fourth Secret or second Purity Seal listed for Shattered Station.
Common points of confusion
The first Secret seems to be missing
Players often continue into the altar chamber and never look behind the entry point. The trench is reached by turning around at the doorway where the first Boltgun is found, then scanning left along the rock wall. Follow the blood-stained path until the wreath is directly in front of you.

The cracked wall will not reveal anything
The required target is the cracked rear wall panel in the small room opposite the courtyard Autogun Cultists. The Boltgun is the weapon specified for opening it. Enter the alcove after the panel breaks; the Seal is a floating pickup rather than an item that remains embedded in the wall.
The Red Sigma switch appears to do nothing
First verify that the Red Sigma key has been collected and that the matching red console has been activated. Then aim high on the wall for the small glowing square. Firing at the lower panel is too late in the sequence: the shot must hit the upper switch, which causes the compartment below it to lower.
The extraction area is exposed but the mission does not end
After the Chaos Terminator encounter, use the green panel, return to the exposed platform, and wait for the Thunderhawk’s rear ramp. Once inside, use the glowing exit. Standing on the platform before the ramp opens does not complete the extraction.
Where Shattered Station sits in the documented campaign route
The branch-sensitive route associated with this walkthrough lists the chapters in this order:
- The Arkifane Emerges
- Nurgle Nightmare
- Mountain of Skulls
- Uninvited Guests
- Frozen Terror
- The Hive
- Ark of Omen
- Forged in Battle
- Facing the Arkifane
Crucible is optional on that route. The important planning point is that paired operations exclude each other. Selecting the alternative at the deployment map changes the rooms that follow, so a later-room instruction from this route should not be treated as universal across every campaign branch.
What counts as a complete Shattered Station run?
For progression, you must activate the green controls, cross the broken section, shoot the remote switch indicated by the Servitor, take the red key, open the red-symbol door, clear the Purge, survive the later Chaos Terminator encounter, activate the green panel, and complete the Thunderhawk extraction. For 100-percent tracked collection, add the two Secret confirmations and the Purity Seal confirmation to that progression list.
