Borderlands 4: Carcadia Burn Vault Walkthrough and Fragment Locations

To open the Carcadia Burn Vault in Borderlands 4, collect the three Carcadia Burn Vault Fragments in Lopside, Tonnage Peel, and Ruined Sumplands, then activate the vault at Grindstone of the Worthy. Inside, clear the arenas and defeat Primordial Guardian Radix.

Find all three Carcadia Burn Vault Fragments

Each fragment is in the Carcadia Burn region. Fragments from other regions do not meet this vault’s requirement. The locations below are described in the PowerPyx walkthrough and the Game8 walkthrough.

1. Lopside: Look for the fragment on the roof of a gas station.
2. Tonnage Peel: The fragment is inside a tunnel. Open the floor grate to reach it; use ECHO-4’s scan to help locate the grate if it is not obvious.
3. Ruined Sumplands: Find the fragment on rocks out in the open.

Travel to the Carcadia Burn Vault

Once you have all three regional fragments, go to Grindstone of the Worthy, where the vault entrance is located. Rustical Hurl Order Silo is the closest fast-travel point named by Game8.

Activate the vault and defeat Radix

1. Approach the vault mechanism and use the Carcadia Burn Vault Key after collecting the fragments.
2. Enter through the portal and accept the side mission inside.
3. Fight through the vault’s arenas, defeating the enemies in each area.
4. Defeat Primordial Guardian Radix to complete the vault objectives.

PowerPyx lists entering the vault, killing all enemies, and defeating Radix among the objectives; Game8 describes three arenas before the guardian.

What rewards to expect

The walkthroughs list a sniper rifle, money, XP, and Eridium among the reward categories. A particular legendary should not be treated as a guaranteed, permanent reward: Borderlands Support’s November 13, 2025 update notes and February 5, 2026 minor update notes list different Carcadia Burn wildcard configurations and legendary rewards. Check the active update’s listing if you are repeating the activity for a specific reward.
