To farm the Luty Madlad, defeat Mimicron in the Tipping Point Order Bunker at Idolator’s Noose in the Fadefields. Complete the bunker to unlock Mimicron, then use the Encore Machine in the arena to repeat the fight. The Luty Madlad is a Daedalus Legendary SMG whose Homemade Ingenuity effect makes it heat quickly and cool quickly when you stop firing.
Where does the Luty Madlad drop?
The target is Mimicron, found in the Tipping Point Order Bunker at Idolator’s Noose in the Fadefields. You must complete the bunker progression to unlock the boss encounter. Mobalytics lists that unlock route in its Luty Madlad reference.

A September 2025 walkthrough from Nerd’s Chalk describes reaching the bunker through a ventilation entrance, using a ladder, carrying a bomb, and throwing it at the bunker entrance. Visual details may change with game updates, so use the in-game objective and map rather than relying on an old screenshot as a precise current coordinate.
How to farm Mimicron
- Reach Idolator’s Noose in the Fadefields.
- Complete the Tipping Point Order Bunker to unlock Mimicron’s arena.
- Defeat Mimicron, then inspect the arena loot for the Luty Madlad.
- Activate the Encore Machine in the arena to respawn Mimicron and repeat the fight. Some references call it Moxxi’s Big Encore machine; follow the label displayed in your game.
The references establish this repeat-boss loop, but do not provide a controlled comparison with other farming routes, so it should not be treated as a proven fastest farm.

Mobalytics describes the effect as “Overheats quickly, but also cools down quickly.” Lootlemon’s entry, updated June 5, 2026, says, “Pausing fire quickly cools the Luty Madlad to prevent overheating.” In practice, short controlled bursts with a pause before full overheat are a sensible way to manage the mechanic; that firing advice is an inference from the described behavior, not a published damage test.
The references do not establish a dependable set of elemental variants: Nerd’s Chalk describes variants, while Lootlemon’s database presents a different, incomplete view of elements and variable parts. Treat the item’s element and parts as roll-dependent rather than assuming a particular element is guaranteed.

What are the reported drop rates?
Lootlemon’s community-maintained database currently displays a 9% Mimicron drop rate, “Bonus Chance: +2% × UVH,” and a 30% value for Big Encore. The page was updated June 5, 2026 and accessed October 8, 2026. It does not explain the full rate methodology, whether the bonus combines additively or multiplicatively with the base figure, or an official confirmation. Do not add these figures together into a guaranteed total chance; a kill may not drop the weapon.
Lootlemon’s changelog also attributes a “Daedalus SMGs: Increased damage by +17%” change to the May 7, 2026 update. That is a manufacturer-wide balance note, not a verified Luty Madlad-specific multiplier.

How to use the heat mechanic
- Fire in controlled bursts and pause when heat builds, allowing the weapon to cool.
- Avoid holding the trigger until the gun fully overheats; Lootlemon notes that full overheating may lead to a longer repair.
- Assess the individual drop’s parts and element rather than expecting one fixed stat line.
Nerd’s Chalk recommends shock and corrosive damage for Mimicron, describing shield and armor phases. The other reviewed weapon references do not independently verify those phase details or establish an official weakness, so treat that loadout advice as a guide-specific tip rather than a guaranteed optimal strategy.
