In Borderlands 4, Ordonite Processors are repeatable activities where you spend Eridium, fight enemy waves, collect Ordonite, and recycle it to draw Ordonite-corrupted enemies. Those corrupted enemies can drop Pearlescent gear, but a drop is not guaranteed. Processors appear at set locations in the Fadefields, Carcadia Burn, and Terminus Range; official notes do not provide map coordinates.
How the Ordonite Processor event works
The official activity loop is straightforward: activate the Processor with Eridium, fight the enemies it spawns, collect Ordonite dropped by some enemies, and recycle that material in the machine to summon Ordonite-corrupted enemies. The activity is repeatable. The official description does not specify a required canister count, timer, or activation cost.
A March 2026 secondary guide describes the run as progressing through event phases before time expires. It advises targeting enemies carrying Ordonite and depositing canisters promptly. Treat those details as guide-reported tactics rather than official specifications, and check the current in-game prompts for the exact requirements.
Where to find Ordonite Processors
Official update notes place Processors at set locations in three regions: the Fadefields, Carcadia Burn, and Terminus Range. They do not publish exact map coordinates, so use the in-game map and activity markers to locate them rather than relying on an unsupported coordinate list.
#1 Best Overall
- The world’s fastest gaming processor, built on AMD ‘Zen5’ technology and Next Gen 3D V-Cache.
- 8 cores and 16 threads, delivering +~16% IPC uplift and great power efficiency
- 96MB L3 cache with better thermal performance vs. previous gen and allowing higher clock speeds, up to 5.2GHz
- Drop-in ready for proven Socket AM5 infrastructure
- Cooler not included
Ordonite Canisters received a pulsing glow in the March 12, 2026 minor update, intended to make them easier to spot. This is a historical visibility change, not an announcement of a new event.
How to farm Pearlescent gear
Ordonite-corrupted enemies have a chance to drop the new Pearlescent gear. The official notes describe Pearlescents as incredibly rare but give no numerical drop rate, and completing a Processor run does not guarantee one. The notes also identify the Ordonite-corrupted boss in Legend of the Stone Demon as another Pearlescent acquisition path.
Rank #2
- Powerful Gaming Performance
- 8 Cores and 16 processing threads, based on AMD "Zen 3" architecture
- 4.8 GHz Max Boost, unlocked for overclocking, 36 MB cache, DDR4-3200 support
- For the AMD Socket AM4 platform, with PCIe 4.0 support
- AMD Wraith Prism Cooler with RGB LED included
Both the repeatable Processor activity and the named boss are official routes, but the available information does not compare their odds, average completion time, or farming efficiency. Choose based on what you can access and prefer; there is no supported basis for calling one statistically better.
Access and item availability
The Processor activity is available to everyone. The update lists Shalashaska as available to everyone through the activity. It separately says the Torgue Hand Cannon requires Bounty Pack 2; that requirement applies to that item, not to Processor access generally.
Rank #3
- Can deliver fast 100 plus FPS performance in the world's most popular games, discrete graphics card required
- 6 Cores and 12 processing threads, bundled with the AMD Wraith Stealth cooler
- 4.2 GHz Max Boost, unlocked for overclocking, 19 MB cache, DDR4-3200 support
- For the advanced Socket AM4 platform
What Ordonite Infusion does to Pearlescents
Ordonite Infusion can override a weapon’s elemental type to target the enemy’s health vulnerability. The official notes identify several limits that matter when choosing a weapon or interpreting its damage:
- For Maliwan weapons with multiple elements, infusion behavior is based on the currently active element.
- Infusion applies to initial Underbarrel damage, but not to beams or later projectiles.
- It does not alter Vex’s Phase Covenant Trait or trigger related passives.
Useful tactics—and unverified event numbers
A separate farming guide reports a 200 Eridium activation cost, a four-minute timer, and three stages requiring 3, 5, and 7 canisters. Those figures are not established by the official update notes and should not be treated as current universal requirements without checking the live game. The same guide suggests using a grappling hook to retrieve canisters and prioritizing completion; these are player tactics, not guarantees.
Rank #4
- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D Gaming and Content Creation Processor
- Max. Boost Clock : Up to 5.7 GHz; Base Clock: 4.3 GHz
- Form Factor: Desktops , Boxed Processor
- Architecture: Zen 5; Former Codename: Granite Ridge AM5
For a practical run, follow the Processor’s live prompts, collect Ordonite from eligible enemies, and deposit it as you go if the phase allows. The official notes confirm the overall recycle-and-summon loop, while the detailed phase rules may depend on the current in-game implementation.
