There is no official numeric power chart for Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, so the most defensible answer to “Who is strongest?” is conditional. Boruto Uzumaki, Kawaki, and the Divine Tree threat Jura occupy the current top combat discussion; Sarada Uchiha has just reached a major new milestone with Mangekyo Sharingan: Ohirume; and Himawari Uzumaki has the clearest author-confirmed high ceiling because Kurama’s chakra works synergistically with her Uzumaki and Hyuga heritage. Those are different claims from saying any one of them has permanently beaten the others.
How to read power levels in Two Blue Vortex
The manga is ongoing, and its official sources do not publish a 1–10 scale, battle-power number, or complete ranking. MANGA Plus identifies Boruto: Two Blue Vortex as a simulrelease title by Masashi Kishimoto and Mikio Ikemoto. VIZ lists the current chapters and collected volumes, while the Naruto site identifies the series as serialized in V Jump. A ranking can therefore change with every chapter.

This guide uses a feat-based reading. Each placement weighs the things that decide an actual fight rather than treating a new transformation as an automatic victory:

#1 Best Overall
Current tier view: the most useful answer to “Who is strongest?”
| Category | Characters | Why they belong there | What remains uncertain |
|---|---|---|---|
| Current top combatants | Boruto, Kawaki, Jura | Boruto is active in the Vol. 6 battlefield material; Kawaki remains his principal rival; Jura’s actions and the official promotion of the battle against Jura and Hidari establish the Divine Tree threat as a central crisis. | The official material does not provide a complete direct-fight comparison or a permanent winner among all three. |
| High-potential rising fighters | Sarada, Himawari | Sarada voluntarily awakens Mangekyo Sharingan: Ohirume. Ikemoto explicitly connects Himawari’s Uzumaki and Hyuga blood with Kurama’s chakra and says Daemon sensed the scale of her potential. | Sarada’s new ability and Himawari’s power have not produced enough fully documented results for an absolute ranking. |
| Elite team fighter | Mitsuki | His transformations, sensing, and Team 7 coordination give him tools that remain valuable even when a simple one-on-one scale is misleading. | The reviewed official promotional material does not assign him a standalone numeric tier. |
| Major active threat | Hidari, Matsuri | Hidari is part of the promoted Jura conflict, while Matsuri’s attack on Konohamaru is the current Vol. 6 crisis that drives the rescue effort. | Their final position relative to Boruto, Kawaki, and the other leading fighters depends on later chapters and shown matchups. |
If the question is “Who has the strongest confirmed current position?”, Boruto, Kawaki, and Jura are the safest answers to examine first. If the question is “Who may become the strongest?”, Himawari has unusually strong canonical potential language, while Sarada has the clearest newly confirmed power breakthrough. Neither question can be settled by an official number.
Boruto Uzumaki: the central current combatant
Boruto belongs at the center of the present power discussion because the official Vol. 6 synopsis puts him rushing to save Konohamaru during Matsuri’s attack. The Naruto site likewise places him on the battlefield while Jura acts. Those are current-role indicators: he is not merely preparing for the conflict or observing it; he is being used as an active responder against the story’s major threats.
What is confirmed
- He has advanced into the active battlefield phase of the current Divine Tree conflict.
- His post-timeskip growth should be judged through techniques and outcomes actually shown on the page, not through a presumed multiplier from the time skip.
- His connection to the ongoing conflict makes him a practical benchmark for comparing every other major fighter.
How to interpret his level
Boruto’s placement is strongest when it is tied to initiative and demonstrated results. A character can possess a spectacular technique and still rank below him in a mission if that character cannot reach the battlefield, protect an ally, or respond to the Divine Tree threat. Conversely, an isolated victory or escape should not be converted into proof that Boruto is permanently above every rival.

Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsFree Scan →Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitchesFind Drivers →Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsFix Now →Momoshiki’s future glimpses also need careful wording. Ikemoto explained that they resemble Prescience, but are not an established Shinjutsu and have only a portion of Prescience’s functionality. That distinction matters: readers should not treat every glimpse as unlimited, fully reliable precognition when evaluating Boruto’s information advantage.
Kawaki: the essential rival benchmark
Kawaki is the other unavoidable top-tier comparison point. The official material establishes his changed relationship with Boruto and their continuing conflict, but it does not publish a complete numeric comparison between them. His rank must therefore come from on-page abilities, exchanges, and matchup results rather than from the assumption that the protagonist must always be stronger.
Why Kawaki remains near the top
- He is positioned as Boruto’s principal rival, so the story repeatedly tests their capabilities against one another.
- His threat level is meaningful even when a scene is not a formal duel; strategic choices, initiative, and control of the encounter all count as evidence.
- His placement should be separated from the emotional question of who is “right.” Omnipotence changed how characters interpret their relationships, but it does not by itself establish a combat statistic.
Is Sarada’s Mangekyo stronger than Kawaki?
There is no confirmed answer. Sarada’s awakening is a major milestone, not a published declaration that she now outranks Kawaki. The fair comparison asks which conditions apply: Can Sarada activate Ohirume consistently? What range and duration has the manga shown? Can Kawaki prevent setup, withstand the effect, or force a close exchange? Until those questions have direct on-page answers, “Sarada is stronger” is an interpretation, not canon.
Jura and Hidari: why the Divine Trees change the scale
The official material promotes “A Battle Against Jura and Hidari” and identifies Matsuri’s attack in Vol. 6. The Naruto site says Jura makes his next move after Boruto reaches the battlefield. These are not background appearances; they establish the Divine Tree figures as the immediate antagonistic force around which the current rescue and battle lines form.

Jura
Jura belongs in the top-combatant discussion because the story gives him strategic initiative and a battlefield role that directly intersects with Boruto’s response. That supports a high threat placement. It does not justify inventing abilities that have not been shown or assigning him a universal victory over every other character.
Hidari
Hidari should be evaluated as part of the same Divine Tree crisis, while still being kept distinct from Jura. The official promotion confirms the importance of their battle, but a careful guide should not merge their feats or assume identical capabilities. Use each character’s own displayed actions when later chapters provide them.
Why Divine Tree matchups are difficult
These opponents can make conventional rankings unstable. A fighter who looks superior in a direct exchange may still lose a mission if the enemy controls the terrain, divides the team, or creates a rescue problem. That is why battlefield control and teamwork belong beside raw offense in this guide.
Rank #2
Sarada Uchiha: the clearest confirmed new milestone
The official Naruto announcement states that, during the Leaf and Sand rescue mission in the Land of Wind, Sarada activates “Mangekyo Sharingan: Ohirume” of her own volition. VIZ describes the same volume as Sarada awakening dormant Mangekyo Sharingan powers. This is the strongest confirmed new power milestone in the currently promoted material.

Random freezes, missing sound and display glitches usually trace back to one bad driver. Find and replace yours safely.Free scan · under a minuteWhat her awakening proves
- The activation is voluntary, not merely an accidental flare or an ability attributed to another character.
- Ohirume is a real Mangekyo Sharingan development, so Sarada has moved into a new capability bracket.
- Her growth is directly tied to an active rescue mission, making the power relevant to battlefield decisions rather than only to future potential.
What it does not prove
The announcement does not establish a universal damage ranking, unlimited use, or automatic superiority over Kawaki, Boruto, Jura, or Himawari. The responsible power reading is to track activation circumstances, demonstrated range, cost, precision, and counters as the manga reveals them. Until then, Sarada is best labeled a high-potential rising fighter with a confirmed breakthrough.
Sarada’s role also illustrates how information and preparation affect strength. Ikemoto explained that she continued to state the truth after Omnipotence while Sumire kept a lower profile. That persistence changes what Sarada knows, whom she trusts, and how effectively she can coordinate a mission; those are combat advantages even though they are not numerical power points.
Himawari Uzumaki: the highest explicitly stated ceiling
Himawari’s potential has unusually direct author commentary behind it. In an official Ikemoto Q&A, he said that she inherited both Uzumaki and Hyuga blood and that “those factors have a synergetic effect with Kurama’s chakra.” He also said Daemon sensed “the enormity of that potential within her.”
Why that matters
This is a canonical explanation for why Himawari may develop beyond what her current battle record alone would suggest. It identifies a specific interaction among lineage and Kurama’s chakra rather than offering only vague hype. Her potential is therefore more firmly grounded than a fan theory.

Why she is not automatically number one
Potential is not the same as completed output. The Q&A does not provide a final ranking, a mastered form, or a victory list that places Himawari above Boruto, Kawaki, or Jura. The strongest accurate label is “high-ceiling fighter whose demonstrated output is still developing.”
Himawari also trained with Team Ten after seeking ways to help Boruto. That preparation matters in practical matchups: teamwork, mission discipline, and the ability to use her power in support of others can determine an outcome before a maximum form is ever reached.
Mitsuki: transformation, sensing, and team value
Mitsuki remains a core Team 7 combatant. His transformations, sensing, and teamwork make him difficult to summarize with one number. A form that excels at pursuit or detection may be more valuable in a rescue mission than a larger attack that cannot identify the real target.
How to place him
- Count his transformations as separate tactical states, not as proof that every encounter begins at his maximum.
- Give sensing its proper weight: finding an enemy, tracking movement, and warning teammates can prevent a decisive ambush.
- Evaluate him with Team 7 rather than pretending every important result is a solo duel.
The official promotional pages reviewed for the current volumes do not publish a standalone numeric tier for Mitsuki. He belongs in the elite team-fighter category, with his exact position changing according to form, information, and whether allies are present.
Matsuri: the current crisis driver
Matsuri is not included merely because she appears in a volume synopsis. VIZ’s Vol. 6 description identifies her attack on Konohamaru as a major conflict, which makes her the immediate reason Boruto’s rescue effort matters. Her placement should therefore be mission-based: she is a major active threat whose actions force elite fighters to respond.
Rank #3
Do not turn that role into an unsupported whole-cast ranking. The official synopsis establishes the attack and its importance; later demonstrated exchanges are needed to place Matsuri precisely against Boruto, Kawaki, Sarada, or Mitsuki.
Matchup guide: the questions readers actually ask
Boruto versus Kawaki
Treat this as a live rivalry, not a settled statistic. Compare the specific encounter’s initiative, information, available techniques, battlefield, and objective. A rescue mission can favor a fighter who protects an ally, while an isolated duel may reward a different toolkit. The story’s changed relationship explains why their conflict remains central, but it cannot substitute for the feats shown in each exchange.
Sarada versus Kawaki
Sarada has the newer confirmed milestone because Ohirume awakened voluntarily. Kawaki remains a top-tier benchmark. The winner depends on Ohirume’s demonstrated activation conditions, range, cost, and interaction with Kawaki’s shown abilities. Declaring Sarada categorically stronger before those details are established goes beyond the official evidence.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problems2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errorsHimawari versus the established elites
Himawari has the strongest explicit potential statement, not the strongest completed ranking. Compare current output separately from future ceiling. Her Uzumaki–Hyuga heritage and Kurama synergy explain why other characters take her potential seriously; they do not erase the need for shown control, endurance, and results.
Why teamwork can overturn a tier list
Team 7, Team Ten, and the Leaf-and-Sand rescue mission all demonstrate why individual rankings are incomplete. Sensing, protection, information sharing, and role assignment can let a lower-ranked specialist create the opening that defeats a nominally stronger opponent. A useful guide therefore records the mission objective alongside the fighter’s apparent level.
Reading order for the current Two Blue Vortex volumes
For readers who want the most concentrated entry point into the current power discussion, start with Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, Vol. 6. Its official synopsis brings together Sarada’s Mangekyo awakening, Boruto’s rescue effort, Jura, and Matsuri, while the surrounding promotion highlights the Jura-and-Hidari battle.
- Vol. 6: Read first for the current Sarada, Boruto, Jura, Hidari, and Matsuri conflict.
- Vol. 3: Continue backward for earlier Divine Tree and Himawari developments.
- Vol. 4: Follow with the next stage of those developments and the changing battlefield context.
- Vol. 5: Finish the earlier-volume sequence before returning to Vol. 6 for a continuous reread.
This order is optimized for the questions covered here, not for publication chronology. Readers who prefer the story from its first post-timeskip chapter should use the simulrelease chapters on MANGA Plus and then collect the volumes in numerical order. VIZ provides the official collected-volume route; format, stock, pricing, and regional availability can change, so check the current listing for your country.
How to keep the guide current
Because the manga is ongoing, recheck the ranking after each new chapter or collected-volume announcement. The most important update triggers are:
- A newly named ability for Boruto, Kawaki, Sarada, or Himawari.
- A direct fight that establishes a clear win, loss, or limitation.
- A change in the Divine Tree roster or a new confirmed ability for Jura, Hidari, or Matsuri.
- Evidence that changes the activation cost, range, duration, or counterplay of Ohirume or Kurama-related power.
- New official chapter or volume availability in a reader’s region.
The safest habit is to separate three sentences in every future update: what the chapter confirms, what that feat suggests on the comparison axes, and what remains prediction. That keeps a developing story from being forced into a false permanent power ladder.
