The Pickaxe Shop is in the Safe Zone, beside the Animal Merging machine on the left side of the spawn area. Wooden is your starter pickaxe. To unlock stronger tools, earn in-game Cash, buy an upgrade at that shop, and equip it before returning to an egg. Pickaxe Power makes eggs break faster; it does not unlock new zones. Zone access is controlled by your Speed stat.
Where the Pickaxe Shop spawns
Look for the Safe Zone immediately after you enter Break and Steal an Egg. From the main spawn area, move to the left and find the Animal Merging machine. The Pickaxe Shop is next to that machine. It is not a random world spawn, an egg drop, or a shop hidden inside one of the gated regions.

Use the Safe Zone as your navigation landmark: return to spawn, walk left, locate Animal Merging, then interact with the nearby pickaxe display or shop prompt. The shop is where you purchase tools; you still need to equip the selected tool before an egg-breaking run.

- Return to the central spawn point rather than searching inside a zone.
- Check the left side of spawn and identify the Animal Merging machine first.
- Move around the shop display until the interaction prompt appears.
- If the prompt is missing after a server update, rejoin a fresh server and check the live shop inventory; this is a live-service Roblox game and placements or labels can change.
How pickaxe unlocking works
“Unlocking” a pickaxe means purchasing it with the Cash you earn from your base and runs. It is not a separate quest chain, rebirth requirement, or zone achievement in the published information. The normal loop is to break an egg, take the hatched animal, escape guards, place the animal in your base for Cash, and spend that Cash on upgrades. The official Roblox listing also describes larger satchels for carrying more animals and upgrades for Speed and pickaxe.

- Earn Cash. Hatch an egg, steal the animal, escape the guards, and deposit the animal in your base. Cash from the base funds the next purchase.
- Return to the Safe Zone. Go back to the spawn area and walk left to the Animal Merging machine.
- Open the Pickaxe Shop. Select an available tool and confirm the Cash purchase.
- Equip the purchase. Buying and equipping are separate actions in the intended loop. Make sure the new pickaxe is active before you travel back to an egg.
- Test the upgrade on an egg. A higher Power value should reduce the time needed to break eggs, but it does not raise your Speed or open a new zone.
Starter tool and first upgrade
Every player starts with the Wooden pickaxe at Power 1. The first listed purchase is Stone for $80 Cash and Power 4. Iron follows at $800 and Power 15. These low-cost upgrades are useful when repeated egg-breaking time is slowing your early runs.

The table below reproduces the 18-pickaxe progression reported by the Break and Steal an Egg GitHub Pages guide in 2026. Dollar signs represent in-game Cash, not Robux or real-world currency. The values are guide-table figures, so check the shop in your current server before saving for a purchase.

Two additional names reported in a newer list
An iTechGuides article dated October 18, 2026 reports a 20-pickaxe list that continues beyond Celestial with Sci Fi and Enchanted. That article notes that other October guides stop at 18. It does not establish Cash costs or Power values for those two entries in the available information. Treat Sci Fi and Enchanted as live-shop checks rather than filling the missing numbers with guesses.

Pickaxe Power versus Speed: the distinction that prevents wasted Cash
Pickaxe Power and Speed solve different bottlenecks. Power affects how quickly you break an egg. Speed is the stat used to enter the next zone. A very high-Power pickaxe cannot bypass a Speed gate, and buying Speed will not make the pickaxe itself stronger.

Use the current bottleneck as your buying rule. If a zone gate is stopping progress, save for Speed even when the next pickaxe is available. If you already have enough Speed for your target area, Power can shorten each egg interaction and improve the number of runs you complete in the same session.

Zone entry requirements
The 2026 zone table attributes the following gates to Speed. These are not pickaxe requirements and should not be compared numerically with Power values in the pickaxe table.

For example, a Celestial pickaxe’s reported Power is 25B, while Galaxy’s reported entry gate is 25B Speed. The matching numbers do not mean Celestial unlocks Galaxy; they are different stats with different jobs.
What pickaxe do you need for each egg?
No published mapping in the available guides assigns a specific pickaxe to every egg. The references provide pickaxe Power progression and zone Speed gates, but they do not publish permanent egg hit counts, durability values, or a universal “required pickaxe” list. Egg health can also change with game updates.

Use the live experience to determine an efficient tool:
- Enter the zone you can access with your current Speed.
- Start breaking the egg with your equipped pickaxe and observe the time or number of hits.
- Compare that time with the Cash cost of the next Power upgrade.
- Buy Power when breaking time is the limiting part of your run; buy Speed when the next zone is the limiting part.
Do not interpret a slow break as a locked egg unless the game displays a requirement. A Power upgrade may improve the break rate without changing which eggs are available.
Common mistakes and fixes
Searching the wrong area
The shop is beside Animal Merging in the Safe Zone, not at an egg spawn. Return to the left side of the main spawn area before looking for it.

Buying but not equipping
A purchase does not help the next run if the old tool remains active. After confirming the purchase, select the new pickaxe in the shop or inventory and verify its name before leaving.
Trying to enter a zone with Power
Check your Speed stat and the zone’s displayed gate. Increasing Power will not satisfy a Speed requirement.
Assuming every online list is current
The 18-tool guide and the newer 20-tool report disagree about the final entries. Prices, names, zone gates and event content can change. Use guide tables as a planning reference, then confirm the current shop and gate in Roblox.

Expecting a permanent spawn rule
The available references do not establish exact egg hit counts or permanent spawn behavior. If an egg, tool or location changes after an update, rely on the live server’s labels and prompts rather than an old screenshot.
A practical upgrade plan
- Use Wooden while building your first Cash reserve.
- Buy Stone and then Iron when their low listed prices are affordable, especially if early eggs take several attempts.
- Continue through Golden, Diamond and the higher tiers when egg-breaking time is reducing your Cash-per-run efficiency.
- At each new region, check the Speed gate before spending all Cash on Power.
- Keep enough Cash for the stat that removes your current bottleneck instead of automatically buying the most expensive visible pickaxe.
- Recheck the live shop after major updates, particularly around the entries beyond Celestial.
The official game loop is built around breaking eggs, stealing the hatched animals, escaping guards, depositing animals for Cash, increasing satchel capacity, and upgrading Speed and pickaxe. The shop location and the stat distinction let you decide which upgrade improves your next run rather than confusing a faster tool with a zone key.
