What Forager does
Forager is a gathering profession in Hopeport. Its resources can support three other activities: cooking with Chef, potion-making with Alchemist, and rebuilding the Fallen Monument. The profession guide also says players are paid while gathering. The official Brighter Shores site describes the game as an episodic MMORPG and lists Forager among its professions.
Where to find Hopeport foraging resources
This starter reference summarizes the locations, listed tool requirements, and the use identified by Icy Veins’ February 11, 2025 guide. A dash in the tool column means the guide lists no tool for that resource; it does not guarantee the requirement has not changed in a later game update.

How to start and get the tools
- Collect kelp at East Beach. The guide says the tutorial has you gather kelp there, making it a natural first Forager activity.
- Check newly unlocked nodes. When a resource requires equipment, buy the relevant tool at The Forager’s Warehouse. The listed tools are secateurs, a trowel, and a pond net.
- Confirm requirements in the game. The locations and equipment reference is based on a guide updated in 2025, while official updates continued in 2026. Use the live node or profession interface if its requirement differs from this list.
How to level Forager efficiently
There is no single best route for every player. Icy Veins’ guide recommends collecting as many items as possible during a play window rather than automatically skipping lower-level resources for a higher-level node. That is route-planning advice, not a measured ranking of experience rates.

Before choosing a loop, weigh these factors:
- Unlocked nodes: Build around resources you can currently gather.
- What you need the materials for: Choose Chef ingredients, Alchemist supplies, or Monument pieces to match your next goal.
- Travel and banking: Nearby nodes can reduce downtime; include the time spent returning to deposit or use resources.
- Tools and enchantments: Account for equipment requirements and your enchantment investment, since the guide notes these can change route efficiency.
- Active or passive play: A route you gather manually is different from an unlocked passive activity.
Passive Forager activities
The guide reports that passive Forager activities start at level 20, require a Knowledge Point to unlock, and use containers such as baskets, buckets, or jars. It also says Rock Pool nodes require a Pond Net. These are details from the guide’s 2025 revision, so verify the current level, unlock cost, and equipment in game rather than treating them as freshly confirmed patch data.

The official Brighter Shores news index lists ongoing updates in 2026, including a Forager Bounties post dated June 29, 2026, and later updates. That confirms the game has changed since the cited resource guide was updated, but the news index by itself does not establish current bounty rules, leveling rates, or a best route. Treat exact thresholds and route claims from older guides as a starting point, then check the current in-game profession interface.
