Brilliantcrypto is a blockchain-based mining game in which players use pickaxes to search for digital gemstones and Brilliantstones. The publisher announced its Epic Games Store release on October 22, 2024, but current availability can vary by country. Its play-to-earn features depend on game mechanics, token availability and issuer decisions; playing does not guarantee income.
What is Brilliantcrypto?
Brilliantcrypto describes itself as a mining game where players become miners and aim to acquire gemstone NFTs and tokens found in mines. The game’s whitepaper calls this approach “Proof of Gaming.” The publisher says it aims to create sustainable play-to-earn gameplay; that is a project goal, not evidence of sustainable earnings or a guaranteed return.

How does mining work?
Players select a mine and use a pickaxe to search for gemstones and Brilliantstones. Mines differ in available pickaxes, gemstone types, likelihood of finding them and rock hardness, according to the game-system whitepaper.

Pickaxes, power and durability
Pickaxes have mining power and durability. If a pickaxe’s power is below a mine’s rock hardness, mining efficiency is reduced. Durability declines with each swing, and a pickaxe at zero durability cannot be used until restored. Pickaxes are NFTs, but the game distinguishes items acquired with BRIL, BRIL points or MATIC; their purchase and export behavior is not interchangeable.
Players can use their own pickaxes or lend them to Scholars. The publisher also describes detectors and dynamite as in-game mining aids. These are game mechanics, not physical products.

Can you earn BRIL by playing?
Brilliantstones can be converted to BRIL or BRIL points, but conversion is conditional. The relevant conditions include whether BRIL is listed on an exchange in the player’s selected country and whether the issuer permits in-game token use there. The official pages do not provide a comprehensive, current country-by-country availability list, so a player should verify local access before relying on either outcome.
The publisher describes BRIL as a gameplay utility token and BRIL points as in-game digital data. Both can be used for certain game functions, including pickaxe upgrades and durability restoration. Brilliantstones are automatically processed for conversion with processing starts listed at 07:00, 15:00 and 23:00 UTC. Those are processing start times, not a guarantee that an individual conversion finishes at those exact times.

The technical whitepaper identifies BRIL as an ERC-20 token and pickaxes as ERC-721 NFTs on Polygon PoS. It states a BRIL supply limit of one billion tokens, while also saying the issuer may issue tokens at its discretion. These technical details do not establish a token price, future value or player earnings.
How can you play on PC or mobile?

Is it worth trying?
Whether it suits you depends less on the “play-to-earn” label than on which parts of the game you want to use:
- For a low-commitment introduction: look at the free-to-play Scholar mobile version, subject to local availability.
- For marketplace and ownership features: compare the PC version and its requirements with the full version’s current terms.
- For mining access: understand the difference between owning a pickaxe and borrowing one through a scholarship, as well as the costs and limitations of each route.
- For token features: verify exchange and in-game availability in your country, and treat any possible value or earnings as uncertain.
The publisher’s “Proof of Gaming” and sustainability language describes its design aims. Neither those claims nor the existence of NFTs and tokens guarantees profitability.
