Keep the Halloween display safe
Electronic lighting avoids an open flame, but it does not make a project risk-free. Follow the battery and charging-module manufacturers’ instructions, use components that are compatible with one another, and keep wiring and the power source protected in the finished prop. The project overview does not establish a tested battery or charging design.
If you use a real candle in a pumpkin or other decoration instead, the City of San Diego’s Halloween safety guidance advises extreme caution with candle-lit jack-o’-lanterns and says children should be supervised whenever candles are lit.

Don’t confuse the prop with Minecraft’s in-game items
This project is a physical lantern inspired by Minecraft; it is not a recipe for an in-game block. Minecraft’s official candle explainer discusses candles and jack-o’-lanterns as separate light sources and says candles are crafted from string and honeycomb. Those game mechanics are separate from the real-world electronics in Hulk’s prop.
