Black Ops 6 has four launch pistols, and each has two Multiplayer Special Camo challenges. The checklist below covers those eight requirements; it is not a Zombies or Warzone camo guide. Because the per-pistol list was updated for Season 5 rather than verified against a live challenge table, check the Gunsmith’s Camo screen in-game before relying on a requirement.
Black Ops 6 launch pistols and unlock levels
The launch roster has four pistols. The official launch weapons guide lists their availability as follows:

The requirements below are from Dot Esports’ Multiplayer challenge list, labeled updated for Season 5. The list is a third-party guide, not an official live-game challenge table.

How pistol camo progression works in Multiplayer
Activision describes a three-stage weapon camo path: Military camos, two weapon-specific Special camos, then Mastery camos. The official progression guide says Multiplayer Military camos for most weapons are earned through headshots. Once the Special Camo challenges for a weapon are available, they can be completed in either order.

- Earn the weapon’s nine Military camos in sequence. For most Multiplayer weapons, the challenge type is headshots.
- Complete both Special Camo challenges for that weapon; the two challenges may be done in any order once available.
- Unlock that weapon’s Mastery Camo challenge by completing all nine Military camos and both Special camos for it in Multiplayer, then meet the applicable Mastery requirement.
The Multiplayer Mastery sequence is Gold, Diamond, Dark Spine, then Dark Matter. Earning a higher tier such as Diamond or Dark Spine also depends on earning that tier across the required weapons, so completing one pistol’s checklist does not by itself unlock those class-wide tiers. Black Ops 6 has separate camo journeys for Multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone; this list only covers Multiplayer Special Camos.

The per-pistol requirements here are supported by a Season 5-updated third-party list, while the official Activision progression information explains the overall camo structure rather than confirming that each listed requirement remains unchanged. Open the relevant pistol’s Gunsmith Camo screen and verify its current challenge text before planning a grind. The game’s displayed requirement is the one to follow if it differs from this list.
