When was the Black Ops 7 worldwide reveal?
Xbox announced on July 28, 2025, that the worldwide reveal would take place during gamescom Opening Night Live on August 19. The official Call of Duty briefing was published on reveal day, and Xbox Wire described the event as the game’s first gameplay reveal.

The announcement followed Activision’s June 8, 2025, confirmation of the title. At that point, Activision said the full reveal would arrive later that summer and described Black Ops 7 as the first consecutive release within the Black Ops series.
What did the reveal show?
A 2035 story with familiar Black Ops characters
The story is set in 2035, after the events of Black Ops 2 and Black Ops 6. The reveal introduced David Mason on a mission in Avalon, and described the return of Raul Menendez and the Guild’s role in the story.

Campaign, Multiplayer, and Zombies
The presentation covered three main modes: a co-op Campaign, Multiplayer, and Round-Based Zombies. Xbox Wire reported that the Campaign could be played solo or with up to four players, with progression across the game. It also reported a launch Multiplayer lineup of 16 6v6 maps and two 20v20 maps. These are reveal-era details reported by Xbox Wire, not independent gameplay test results.
Activision named itself as publisher and said development was led by Treyarch in partnership with Raven Software.

When did Black Ops 7 launch, and where is it available?
The reveal briefing announced November 14, 2025, as the release date. Activision Support currently lists the game as available on Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, and PC through Xbox on PC, Battle.net, and Steam. Game Pass access on Xbox consoles and Xbox on PC requires an active Game Pass Ultimate or Game Pass PC subscription, respectively.
