What does “Liberty Falls Easter Egg” mean?
Liberty Falls has two secrets often called Easter Eggs, but they are separate activities. The Main Quest is a multi-stage Zombies objective built around the Jet Gun, the LTG device, and two canisters. Completing it ends with a fight in the church and awards the Bye-Bye, Dark Aether trophy and achievement, according to the PowerPyx Standard Mode guide.

The hidden-song Easter Egg is shorter and distinct: interact with three concealed Mr. Peeks headsets to play “Destroy Something Beautiful,” composed by Kevin Sherwood. GameSpot’s launch-day song guide covers that secret; it is not the church Main Quest.

How do you complete the Liberty Falls Main Quest?
The launch-day walkthrough describes a route that moves from assembling the Jet Gun to collecting LTG parts, filling two canisters, and surviving a final church encounter. The steps below summarize that route rather than replace the full in-game instructions; guides describe the game state at publication, and details may differ after updates.

1. Build the Jet Gun
Gather the three components described in the walkthrough: the Handbrake from the Groundskeeper’s shed, a water valve from Lily’s Flowerpot, and a pressure gauge earned at Liberty Lanes. Take them to the motel workbench to assemble the Thrustodyne Model 23, usually called the Jet Gun. The weapon is central to the route because it collects the parts needed for the LTG device.
2. Collect and assemble the LTG
Use the Jet Gun to collect LTG components at Olly’s Comics, the barber shop, and the church. Assemble the device on the bank roof.

3. Fill the first canister
Activate the LTG at the storm location and defend it while it runs. Weaken the elite target until it enters the special glowing state, then finish it inside an Aether trap so its essence fills the canister. Take the filled canister back to the machine in the church.
4. Set the Strauss Counter and fill the second canister
Use the Strauss Counter at three EPPs to set their colors. Then go to the other storm area and repeat the LTG and Aether-trap sequence to fill the second canister. Return it to the church machine.

5. Start the church finale
With both canisters returned, activate the church machine to begin the final encounter. The launch guide describes three phases: Zombies and Vermin, an Elite Mangler, and then an Abomination. Survive all three to trigger the ending cutscene.

Yes, in the careful sense that a full Main Quest walkthrough was publicly documented on launch day. Black Ops 6 launched October 25, 2024, and the Liberty Falls guide records an update at 5:27 p.m. that date. Activision’s launch announcement confirms the game went live worldwide that day.

That evidence supports “documented at launch,” not a claim about a race winner. The available sources do not establish the first clear’s exact time, identify the first solver or team, or give a count of players who had solved it by then. The official October 17, 2024 Liberty Falls map briefing had already described the map as one of two round-based Zombies maps at launch and teased atmospheric material related to the Main Quest, but it did not name a solver or announce a completed quest.
Is there a special requirement to start the Main Quest?
The PowerPyx guide says its Standard Mode route has no special prerequisite. It notes that being level 20 helps because it makes a Mangler Cannon available for one step, but describes that as helpful rather than mandatory. The guide also says Directed Mode can award the trophy or achievement, though objectives may appear in a different order. These are guide-reported details for the mode and game state it describes.
